Songkhla Province hotels & places to stay

this hotel is about 20mins drive from the airport, 10mins walk to the railway station. location is very central and is walkable to most areas in the city. lots of shopping malls around the hotel, street stalls, massage, eateries from street food, food stalls to fast food. the lobby is situated at level 6, with 2 inhouse restuarants and a bar lounge. the breakfast served offers a variety and taste good. room is spacious and comfortable, only that the bathroom is a little small. the rooms is faciliated with a room safe and a mini fridge and free wifi. there is a swimming pool and a gym too. night life is great with street shopping and street food till late nights. not much of places of interest here in the day unless you venture to the songkhla area. lots of tuk tuk and people will pester you with transportation and most offered the "floating market" (which i suppose is famous here) but i didnt took up. mainly for leisure for this trip. will be back to centara next time. recommend for couples, solo, families tourists or on business.

My booking is include of 2 adults plus 2 children for 3 days 2 nights. When checked-in, the receiption request to pay extra 500 baht/night for extra child. The front desk manager refuse to talk to me regarding my booking. After some agruement, they accept my booking but will charge me for breakfast buffer for one child. Will not consider this hotel for any of my trip to Songkhla in future.

I would highly recomend this hotel Mayflower New Wing to all my family and friends. Their service is comparable to 5 Star hotel. Their staff is helpful and always put on a smiling face. I am thankful and appericiate for letting us check in early and also get us connecting room for our family trip. 😊👍 BTW this is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. This time we booked 5rooms for family trip. Enjoy our stay. Even by night time we went to reception counter request for extra toilet rolls and laundry bag, the receptionist put on a smiling face and said Yes no problem. We'll get it for u. I feel so at home.

Absolutely perfect. This was an unexpected pearl in the unknown ( for us) province, for just 1200 thb we got conditions better than in some 4 star hotels! Thank you, receptionist Khun Sittra for attention and professionalism. The rooms are spacious, perfectly clean, modern, with pleasant fresh odor. Very sad that this hotel is not in Phuket, we would love to come back. Absolutely worth for money, even cheap for such quality.

When I made the reservation went on what Agoda showed as the facility's quality. They were right. From a great room with all the necessary appointments to one of the best elevators made, the facility exceeded all our expectations. Parking under the hotel was limited but right across the street was a full hotel lot. Their breakfast fare was just adequate, did include omelettes made on demand. Their wireless was more than adequate. We did not use them, but the hotel had an exercise facility fully equipped and a swimming pool. It was situation in the heart of Hat Yai.

I was looking at other hotel when I suddenly saw the price stated on Tune Hotel. I cannot believe my own eyes in the very beginning. It was 70% off!! For 2 nights, it only costs RM90.62. There was another 7% off when using Citibank credit card for payment. Total I paid was RM85.24 (USD26.12)! It was only RM42.62 (USD13.06) per night for 2 persons, equals to RM21.31 (USD6.53) for 1 person per night!!! How can you find such a good deal, right? It was a super great deal I managed to get so far! I reached around 9.30am. The check in time is 2pm. Due to the tiredness, I requested for early check in (for 120B). The check in was fast and the staff was friendly, explaining on how to use the card to access the lift. From the booking, I noted on Twin Room. However, my friend was not able to make it last minute, so I requested for a high floor double room instead. I got what I requested for. :) The room was spacious and big. The booking came with 24 hours wifi, TV and air conditioning. Just plug in one of the card into the slot will do (You were given 2 cards). Also, 2 towels, 2 soaps and 2 shampoos put nicely on the bed. The room has 2 power sockets. There was also a hair dryer hang on the wall, can be used any time. Although there was no wardrobe, there were 4 hangers for you to hang your clothes. Tune Hotel was a walking distance to Odeon Shopping Mall and Lee Garden Plaza. You can always get Tuk Tuk to go elsewhere like Central Festival Mall. Tuk Tuk is almost every where. You can always bargain with the driver on the fee. If you are alone, there is also motorbike to bring you around with a lower cost, if compare to Tuk Tuk. The rider will wear a red jacket. No helmet is needed for passenger. Tuk Tuk is more worth with more than 2 people.

Without a doubt, this hotel offers the best quality and place to spend your nights in Hatyai. Convenient location, very close to Lee Gardens and Pink Lady Complex, magnificent view from high floors, full facilities like swimming pool and gymnasium, great foods, exemplary staff performance. Easy to find halal foods at place nearby, especially at night. On the day of checkout I've waited for my coupon taxi for almost 45 minutes, ask one of the staff at reception counter. She helps calling the taxi company to send me a taxi promptly. On her own phone. Very nice of her, thanks. I recommend this hotel strongly. Deserved more stars actually

Despite many negative review we read from the web, we still op to stay here due to location. Suprisingly all negative comments we read about this hotel are NOT TRUE! We reach hotel at 9.30am, we just try our luck for early check in. There was 4 staff at front desk. All was VERY HELPFULL and nice. All of theme! When we try to find our room at level 9, we have been greeted by a housekeeping lady and she showed us our room. The room was clean and nice. Where is the crocroches??! We dont find any! We parked our bike at the basement. It was safe and secured. The guard at basement was also very helpful to us. In summary, we are glad we dont trust all the negative reviews. We've made the best choice by op for this hotel. Highly recomended! I will come again and will definately choose Grand Plaza Hatyai. Thank you.

Stayed during Chinese New Year period. Large spacious room, clean and tidy, stayed in Deluxe room by myself ( couldnt get smaller/cheaper room due to sold out ), comfortable sleep on king size bed. Near perfect room with luxury feel and facility, except some lack minor details/refinement. Good location, walking distance to varies of food choice ( restaurant or street stall ), although not the best of best location yet. Would recommend.

The front office clerks was kind and respectful. The place was abit far to the lee garden area. But it is hat yai so everywhere is close plus there is grab. There is no breakfast but there is a lounge where you can serve yourself a cereal,toast,juices,teas,snacks and etc. The lounge have different type os food/snacks on a different time. We book the family suite and the toilet bowl was fantastic. It was quite big balcony. The TV Channel were perfect. There was hot water,mineral water,towels,fridge. It was clean. I think its the best hotel hat yai can offer. As other hotels in hat yai are pretty creppy,old,dark and dirty. This was the best. Hence i totally recommend. It was a lovely stay. Thank you.

Value for money: a bit more pricey compared to other hotels in Hatyai but worth the money as it is new and I saw quite a few batches of cabin crews check in so quality of hotel is pretty good. Location: Used to pick hotels near the market area but this time, we were more interested in the night markets, Makro hyper market, big c supermarket, we chose this area and it was walking distance to the places listed. The hotel is located right opposite Central Festival Shopping Centre. There is a 10baht songthaew bus service to the market area. Try googling for it. Cleanliness: no cockroaches, no ants (I saw a lot of ants in other hotels I went to, even on the bed, and those are decent hotels.) Overall cleanliness is very good, minus one star off cos the housekeeping staff forgot to change the free mineral water in the rooms and we drank the water left by previous occupiers by mistake :'((( Bathtub was clean! That's rare in Hatyai hotels. Maybe because it's new. Staff: I saw a lot of reviews saying that staff could not speak English and so I spoke to them in Thai. However, they replied me in English seeing that I don't hold a local passport and they spoke English pretty well. They were nice and polite and accommodated to our request pleasantly when we asked for a change of rooms. Facilities: I saw that there was a label stating swimming pool but it was covered up. So I'm not sure whether there is a swimming pool or not. Not sure about other facilities. Anyway we weren't very interested in using the facilities, we prefer to go out and explore. All the rooms are non smoking and you will have to sign an indemnity form to declare that you will not smoke in their rooms. I think that contributes to the overall cleanliness of bathtubs and the hotel in general. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and will definitely come back because of the quality of the hotel and the location (note that we are only interested in the night market, Makro hypermarket and not the main market ar

i was from kuala lumpur via bus and the bus station is just about 3-5 mins walk to the hotel, don't need to get a tut tut. the hotel is in the middle of the city, also 3-5 mins walk to shopping malls, night market and even tour agents. the food is cheap but shoppping for clothes are not worth it, it's expensive and no quality clothes, if u do need to buy any souveniors pls do ask for cheaper price at the night hawkers. bought my souveniors at songkhla (samila beach)(about 800bht return via taxi, 45mins, but not worth it since they didn't maintain the beach, it's pretty dirty), it's cheaper there, bought for 70bht for all 12 of my friends.

Originally was supposed to stay for 5 nights but booked for a day trip and ended up only for 3 nights. Pros: - Female staff on different shifts are extremely friendly and helpful!! Able to speak conversational English. Thanks to the female lady on night shift daily till 1AM who took care of me during my stay!! :) - very near to central area, e.g food stalls, Lee gardens. 3 traffic lights down to the food area, u can ask the staff to show u - i grab around most of the time - anywhere in the city will be about 85 baht on grab. Further places (e.g Samila beach, waterfall is about 500-520 baht per way) - aircon was working very well in the room (female dormitory) and unlike the reviews, the shower in my room was working perfectly fine and I had warm showers for the nights without issues Cons: - The dormitory level (level 2) was VERY creepy and pitch dark towards the night especially w no lights on. My room was located in a deep corner with a prayer mat outside the room (u can just imagine) and huge dark empty common area. Didn't see any human beings on my level or room during my entire stay at all lol - pls switch on the lights otherwise u might trip - think walls were v thin small noises can be heard from the outside - the hotel is literally just beside a train station (hence the name) so train service starts 5-6am onwards. There would be a LOUD announcement going on for about a minute in the early hours of the morning + honking of the trains consecutively. You do not need an alarm really! - no water machines for Hot/cold water - I really wanted to boil my tea - no hair dryers and duvets are just thick Long towels This is a basic simple hotel so no qualms as it was v affordable for the price paid for my stay :) Do book this if you are not fussy

This is my first stay at Aloha hotel Hatyai. We usually stay at May Flower or New Season hotel at Lee garden area. Aloha hotel is just 5 minutes walking distance to Lee Garden plaza, so won't bring any trouble if we stay in Aloha hotel. Fast check in & check out. Hotel provide free WIFI in whole building & with very fast speed. Clean room with comfortable bed. Value for money & everything just fine but can be better for a three star hotel. we founded our perfect traditional Thai massage from their massage centre on third floor. Will definitely come back on Aloha hotel for my next stay in Hatyai city.

I have been a frequent traveller to Hatyai for the past 10 years. Accidentally saw S Hadyai hotel on my 2017 trip, and book it for my last week trip. The hotel is awesome, lobby itself giving you the 5 star reception. The hotel and room is nicely design in modern industrial style. The King size bed that come with total 4 big pillow and 2 small pillow make us sleep like in our own house. My wife who having sleeping issue during travel have an awesome comfort sleep The hotel may not surrounded by famous places, but it only take 5 minutes of tuk tuk to lee garden plaza. S Hadyai simply gotten my 5 star rating and they are one of the best hotel in Hatyai so far. I will surely be back again.

Thank you for the hospitality and the driver arrangement for my day trip (visited cable car, ko yo, Songkhla old town samila beach, greenway market). Perfect for my solo 3D2N trip. Love the library and cafe downstairs. Tho the rooftop bar is renovating, I’m sure it’s gonna be equally nice. Had the best sleep at this hotel, clean and great greenery views from my balcony. :)

the first time i booked the hotel, i would not imagine that it is could be so enjoyable. when we got there, we were greeted by good service. room is very cheap for a three-star hotel. we were quite surprised to find a big screen tv in the room. is is awesome, because we planned to watch champions league final together. a direct view into the bustling city atmosphere. from there pretty close to the entertainment center. too bad, we felt that the toilet was less shiny. but it was enough for a hotel with little cost.

Extremely modern and clean, which on arrival is quite unexpected as the view of the hotel is not actually seen because it's set in a shopping centre. Breakfast is free if staying on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday which didn't apply to us as we stayed on a Sunday so we bought ours but on reflection it would have been better to have gone outside. The staff were very accomadation and the price very cheap. Good place to stay.}

First time staying here based on reviews from travellers. Such a great place. Service was good, even better than some 4 stars hotel. Room was clean, spacious and bright. Just a 10 minutes walk to Lee Gardens and 5 minutes to Kim Yong market. The best part was being able to have a good cup of coffee inside the hotel at the cafe. For getting to Big C and Tesco Lotus we took a tuk tuk which cost 20 baht per person. And we had one of the best traditional oil massage at CARAWA. 2 minutes from our hotel. 1 and a half hour for 500 baht. I wonder why it was never promoted by other travellers. And as usual Agoda never fails to give me the best deals Thank you Agoda

I stayed in this hotel when I visit Hatyai for 1 day. The Hotel is new (3 months) the room is very clean and have big enaogh space.. the bathroom is clean with full amenities and hair dryer. but the wifi was not stable. I booked the room without breakfast but after discuss with my partner, we choose to buy breakfast and pay directly to hotel (150 bath). the breakfast based on staff information was buffet like other hotel but in the morning we must choose 1 menu (american breakfast: salad, bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs). the menu is really disapointing. if you want to stay here i think its more worth without breakfast

The moment I opened the room door, I was speechless as its better and much better compare to some 5 star hotels. Basic needs or furniture are all new. Cleanliness is fantastic. The modern concept is fabulous. A truly worth for money for the room. As for other facilities, I like the "garden" so much and not to forget, the cleanliness of public area. Housekeeper must be so committed. And last but not least, there are plenty parking space opposite the road, which open only for hotel guest. There are some parking space at GF but you must be an expert like me (just joking) to park your car as the turning angle is so tight. So the parking space supersede what this hotel lacks, its location, which about 600 meters from the main road. But that ensure a calm stay indeed. Then of course, the room give me no space for a reverse comments. In a nutshell, its a very very very good budget hotel to stay.

ASIAN HOTEL have the good location. Nearby Shopping Area. Can walk to Lee Garden and the night market around that place, KIMYONG market. Also if want to go Songkhla just walk a little bit to the VAN stop place. If want to go Central Festival also just walk a little bit to wait the SONGTAW to that place. About the breakfast is very simple (No Buffet). But if dont want the hotel breakfast, actually can try the famous BAK KUT TEH of this hotel as the breakfast (but must pay on that) My room have good connection in WIFI. Because I request since the beginning that need the good signal of WIFI Connection, and the hotel give me the room that nearbya the WIFI central machine outside my room. About the Bathroom : have hot and cold water. But quite old. So sometimes have the iron smell. The Bed is good. The room is spacious and clean. TV channel also have many cable channel. One more thing as many reviews that i read about massage that offer by bell boy when they send us to the room. If not neeccessary no need to listen him. I also listen to him and request for massage. and the final things they call from outside and the massage service not to good. Also not same price that they inform us before, The massaeur will request more from us as the base price. I Suggest : Nearby have many massage center that should be more professional on massage and also the price is more better.

I make a last minute decision to visit Hatyai and start looking for a hotel 3 days before my departure on April 10, 2010. Tried booking directly at Regency Hotel web-site but couldn't get any reply or confirmation. Surfed other hotels web-site and found Golden Crown rooms. The rate is also cheap compare with other hotels. Upon arrival and checking-in with my wife, I found the room is well-maintained, neat and clean. The staff are very friendly and ever eager to offer service. Good location and within walking distance to business center. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Z Sleep Hotel is located next to Festival Shopping Central. This hotel is super clean , comfort and the space is very big. All the staff is polite and helpful, they willing to solve all the communication problem between us and the local driver (Tuk Tuk Driver) and the price is reasonable + cheap! The Wifi access is very stable and strong. The only defective thing is lack of hair dryer in each of the room (But you can borrow from receptionist counter ). I'm strongly recommend this hotel to everyone who going to Hat Yai and I'll choose this Hotel for my next visit again. Thank you!

I'm a season traveller there. I've stayed many hotels but none can be compared to BP Grand Tower. Check-in staff/bell boy all very friendly and helpful. Room, big spacious and clean. Bed sheet change everyday. Provided daily 2 bt drinking water and 2 coffee sachet with creamer n sugar. Also a hair dryer for those required. Toilet amenities; 2 small bar soap, shampoo n body bath plus cotton bud. However, no tooth brush provided. Hot water can be adjusted to suit your bathing temperature. Room window views is spectacular. Can see the town if on high floor. Now back to room prices. This hotel usually provide a package with breakfast included. This time somehow i booked online which show breakfast excluded. Prices was reasonable and to my liking as i usually woke up late. Anyway, i'm there to enjoy and relax. I would suggest hotel management implement a 2 tier pricing; with and without breakfast. If not for this i would have given a 5 star ratings. Finally, my 1st choice hotel!!!
