Very good hotel staff and friendly helpful, go extra mile for us when we looking for choices of food and direction to airport. They are very organised and will take down the number plate of the taxi U take from the hotel and have a card with the hotel address, I lost my phone in the taxi from hotel to airport, and rang the hotel staff to help track the driver and in less than 10 mins they contacted the driver and the driver made a U turn back to return my mobile! Imagine the anxiety and then the great relief! Hotel is very new and clean, very comfortable, I’m on level 29 and had a unblock view of the city! Love the separate bathroom and toilet and open vanity area, so we need not wait around for others to finish before we can use it. Location is a good 3 mins walk to LONG SHAN TEMPLE MRT, and its on the blue line with many area connected to it, Ximenting and Ban Qiao and Taipei city is just a few stops away! Highly recommended!

The room is a little bit small but I guess it is the standard size for standard room in the heart of the Taipei city. Barely can allocate two 22 inch luggages.. Couple with baby or more, might be too small for them. Two pax is just nice. The location is the best as Xi Meng Ding is so nearby (just accross the road) and there is a Metro entrance right in front of the hotel side door, make my stay in Taipei very conveniently to travel to other attractions. A big thumb for this hotel location. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful as we checked in early at 11am (standard check-in time is 3pm). But the receptionist will just volunteer to keep our luggage at the counter safely and the room key and luggage can only be collected anytime after 3pm. I even teased the staff saying i will be back after midnight but he smiled and said no problem at all. The breakfast was delivered to our room at about 8am daily. Egg or beef Sandwich, Salad, Fruits and Juice. I can accept that as the hotel is still under renovation at some part downstairs, so I guess the dining hall may be still under construction.

Very pleased with our stay. Location is fantastic. Shi-men Ting, National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Presidential Office Building, Ningxia Night Market, Taipei City Mall are of walking distance from the hotel. Room is a little small but good value of money for what we have paid. The common area/lounge is very modern-looking and comfortable. Perfect for people who wanna sit down and have a drink with their friends after a day of walking around.

we stayed at united hotel taipei early may 2012. it is a good clean hotel with very good service. airport bus, fay gou, flying dog, stops in front of this hotel, not an official stop, but will stop here by request. we did not know it, paid nt$1250=us$43 for taxi ride from airport, bus would've been much more roomy, comfortable, good view and far cheaper. taxi to airport is nt$1000. well trained polite and professional staff, unload and delivered luggage, opened the door or held elevators for guests, many are always there to assit. big clean room, about double size of average hotel rooms, clear modern designs from decades ago but stood the test of time and well maintained. unusual huge bed, biggest i have seen anywhere, much wider. very big white marble bathroom with very powerful shower. large free breakfast spread with complete chinese, japanese and western selections. free good speed wifi in room. 24 hrs coffee and tea in lobby. short wait for elevators, takes under a minute to get taxi upfront. subway around the corner with 3-5 minutes walk. 7-11 and starbuck few doors down. many city bus stops in front or around the corner. many restaurants, shops and banks next to hotel, but not in the center of hot shopping area which is about 15 minutes walk away. big construction of stadium across the street, loud noise started at 8am, not a problem for us, as we spent hours watching the construction work. our room face the front with a clear view of the 101 building and the mountains. excellent hotel in taipei.

We choose this hotel because it's near a train station at the heart of Ximending (where the cool kids hangs out) Hotel has a crazy falling chubby man mission-impossible style installation at the lobby ceiling. Instantly putting a smile on our faces during this gloomy typhoon weather. Rooms are very well decorated, modern greys, gorgeous lightings and open concept bathroom. Hotel serve up a modest spread of buffet breakfast and even extended their service hours till 11am due to overwhelming hotel guests. (Since everyone is basically stuck here for typhoon Soudelor) Since we had nothing to do, we indulge ourselves with breakfast and also explored the hotel. What we found within the hotel : self serve laundry and dryer, self serve ice dispenser, a humble gym and several meeting room and all floors has different installation art piece outside the lifts. Overall we can conclude that this newly renovated hotel is well-priced for medium budget traveller who appreciate art and modern decor. Also not forgetting the standard warm and sincere service attitude of all Taiwanese you get to expect in Taipei city.

The location is what really sells this place, which just across Ximending. The room is definitely not the most spacious, but the beds were so comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the room is not very well lit so it was pretty dark during the night. If you prefer dark environments then this will not affect you. Overall, great place to stay in Taipei city, would highly recommend.

This hotel has everything: widest spread of buffet breakfast, has the 3 Michelin star restau too, pretty interiors, courteous and very friendly/helpful staffs, very clean, fantastic location (very convenient - very near everything like MRT, Airport MRT, TRA, Bus; you have few malls to choose from like QSquare mall or Taipei City mall which are just few steps away). They even accommodated us for a free early check-in! The only con is the lights in the room and hallways, they can be pretty gloomy/dark esp in the evening. But other than that, can’t think of anything bad to say. I would definitely choose this hotel over and over, for my Taipei stay. Thank you, Palais De Chine for our wonderful stay!

Hotel is wonderful, much better than any other 5 star hotels in Taipei. Staff is amazing (esp lady Rudy&Ruby). We got complimentary early check in at 12pm, and even never requested for it, room on the high floor with very good view, super comfortable bed - even after check out we purchased their bed clothing at very reasonable price. Our trip was more than one week ago but we are still excited of it. Thank you Grand Hyatt.

this is a very new hotel in taipei which i happened to find it for my 4 days work visit to taipei last week. first, it is in a very good location of the city. sogo, breeze, da-an mrt station and many other restaurants just within walking distance. the staff is quite good in english and thus very helpful to us. the restaurant on the ground floor is exceptionally international acceptable. normally, food at breakfast in 4 stars hotel in taipei has strange taste for many westerners. nevertheless, the room is quite small, perhaps it is because of the rocky high real estate price in taipei. the bed is small but soft, the restroom is interestingly equipped with electronic toilet resembling that of a busy district hotel in tokyo. one more good thing about the hotel is free wifi which is very convenient for us business people. last time, i had to pay about 60 dollars a day for use of wifi in far eastern taipei!

My mom and I spent one night at Hotel Cham Cham and felt it was one of the finest hotels people could find in the Banqiao area. Helpful and polite staffs and good hotel room. The location is great too. It nears the Mega City Shopping Mall, the New Taipei City Hall, the Banqiao Railway and High Speed Train Station and MRT. I would highly recommend Hotel Cham Cham to my friends and people who need to spend a night in Banqiao, Net Taipei City.

The hotel locates in the walking distance area (z10 exit) from Taipei Main Station that is very convenient to access to many places around Taipei and near city. The staffs are very friendly. The best example of us was we would like to extend our stay on Sunday night because our flight time would be at 6 am on Monday morning, but this hotel was fully reserved. The staff at the front, however, managed to make a reservation in the hotel near by with the same rate and quality. Not only that, she listened to our opinion and took us to that hotel to inspect the room. And she helped us to process a room reservation there (since we couldn't speak or understand any Chinese) with special requests (to be assured that our room in this hotel would be exactly similar to the room in Diary of Taipei Hotel we have stayed). This was a great service mind that we have never experienced from any other hotels before. The hotel facilities were very good. There were free soft drinks, water, coffee, tea and ice serving 24 hours in the dining area so if you bring the bottle of water or ice container, it would be convenient for your long journey whole day. The laundry machine and dryer were provided free of charge (with free detergent). The breakfast was served in variety, but only one comment is the dining area is too small so it was mostly crowded during breakfast time (after 8.30 am). The room wall was thin and no sound-proof. You were able to hear snoring noise from the room next door easily and also if some people were talking along the walkway in front of the room. Room amenities were great. There were USB port and some electrical sockets at the desk and the bed table. Shampoo and shower gel were both supplied in the shower room with nice smell. The toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving blade, etc were provided daily. Overall, we were super satisfied our stay in this hotel and would definitely stay here again in the future visit.

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel provided unlimited drinks at their entrance, restaurant and gym/ laundry area at the top floor. These 3 areas are open 24 hours and we could have our drinks at any time. The hotel also provided free usage of their washing machines and dryers. The hotel is located within walking distance to the Taipei Main Station (about 6 minutes walk) and Ximending (about 8 minutes walk). The room was clean and size was ok for 2 luggages. Staff at the reception were friendly and provided the necessary information whenever we needed assistance. It was also convenient for us to roll our luggages to the Taipei Main Station where we took the express train to the airport. Highly recommended hotel in Taipei.

I have to say that, this, by far one of the most affordable and most convenient hotel in Taipei. It is walking distance from train stations, hawkers area are all nearby and their lobby is very homey. All their staffs are very accommodating. Even though we don’t know how to speak in Chinese, they try their best to explain or answer our questions. KUDOS to this hotel and their employees.

Having unlimited coffee and tea and juice at the lobby/dining area all day is a great idea, on top of that the hotel let clients stay at the lobby while having last minute luggage fixing and waiting for their flight schedule. The room we had was spacious and clean, with very comfortable bed and pillows. The free breakfast was enough to get you started on your day. Staff were helpful and professional. Definitely stay here if you are on a DIY travel adventure around Taipei City!

located in the heart of taipei city, it is very convenient to access shopping area and night market in taipei. mrt, buses and taxi are very convenient. the room is really spacios, we stayed at the twin deluxe room but the space and amenity is equivalent to junior suite of any other 5 star hotels. the bed is very comfortable. there is one layer of memory foam on top of the bed. staffs are very helpful and friendly. they will try their very best to provide any information requested by the guess. overally it is an awesome hotel in great location with excellent service.

Booked 4 days 3 nights during our last few days in Taiwan. We reached Taipei from Taichung around 730pm. Good thing as we were upgraded to a bigger room (perhaps full house due to late check-in) TIPS: use waze to locate the hotel. Problems solved. First impression of the hotel wasn't great. I must say looks can be deceiving. Do not expect the hotel entrance to be pleasant/grand looking as this is a value for money hotel. Also it is located at the sidewalk of the Ximending street. Room is clean and neat. No smelly musky odour as I feared it would be. Much more than i can ask for from a budget hotel considering it is for sleep, shower and resting from the long hours of walking and shopping around Taipei, Jiu Fern and Shi Fern. Expected a more shabby hotel but for their 3 star status, I highly recommend this hotel. Basic facilities like hair dryer, TV, fridge, bedroom slippers, comb, tea sachets are available. Pros: 1. Walking distance to the main area/streets of Ximending. Walking distance to the MRT as well. 2. Water pressure for the shower head is excellent. Feels good taking a good wholesome shower after a long day out. 3. 24 hours complimentary green tea (of few choices), Calpis yogurt drinks, cordial drinks/juices, coffee machine. 4. Allow extension of hotel room till 4pm and then we sat around in the lobby with free drinks and luggage space waiting for the time to depart to the airport around 8pm. 5. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Cons: Hard to find as it doesn't have a huge signboard. (but we didn't have trouble because we have a tour guide who used Waze right to the entrance of the hotel) Other than that, nothing much for the price i paid. Except the aesthetic point of view from the outside.

This is definitely one property that I would highly recommend to Filipinos who would want to explore Taipei City. It is just a stone's throw away from the train station. Right behind it is the vibrant Ximending where you can shop, eat and enjoy a couple of performances by different people by the street. It's so near Fong Da Coffee and The Redhouse (there's a creative market during Saturdays which is a must). There's even a 7-11 below the hotel which makes it even better! The staff were very friendly, even if we can't speak in Chinese at all, they were so genuine in helping us and even lent us an umbrella because it started raining! The bathroom is definitely worth what you're paying for and the bathroom is clean!

I love my stay at The Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel. It's a brand new hotel with excellent customer service. We stayed in an Okura Double Room. Great value for money with the room luxuriously confortable and equipped. Located very centrally and very near to the Zhongshan MRT Station, it makes travelling around all the tourist attractions within Taipei City an ease. The size of the room is big and very spacious. The essential needs like the shower & WC are pretty High Tech & excellent quality. Definitely will stay there again in my next visit to Taipei and I highly recommend this hotel for first timers to Taipei or anyone looking for a great hotel within Taipei City near centrally located MRT Station.

A very good hotel, but feels a little too cold in my opinion due to its 'Ikea-like' deco style. Everything from check-in to the room has nothing to fault. Bed is comfortable, faucets works well (no bath tub), for a modern 4-star hotel in Taipei, the lack of electric toilet seat is surprising. Breakfast bar is above average compare to other Taipei hotel, while there appears to be many items, each of the selection is not so tasty and nothing memorable. Fruit is limited to 1 selection most of my stays.

We traveled as a family with 2 young adults children. Booked 2 different size room , the standard double bed room is kinda small . My kids' room was bigger and more spacious so you need to look at the size of the room when you booked if space is priority to you. But for us if was ok as we used the room to rest and sleep only. The rooms and bathroom are very clean but the towels are rather worn. I love the location as it is in the smack of the pedestrian shopping area of Ximending. I just have to come to the main door and shopping is just there. As my intention for my last 2 days in Taipei is only to shop. We are surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes. Which is great. The staff are very helpful and polite and you can leave your luggage with them if your flight is later in the day. One thing though, as its along the pedestrian shopping area, your transport cannot drop off at the entrance of the hotel during the peak hours. Just its just a short walk to the main road.

It was my first visit to Taipei and I was lucky to choose Roaders Hotel as my accomodation. The hotel decorations look nicer than the photos. If you decide to stay at this hotel because of its cool style like I did, you'll never disappointed. I booked a single room as I was a solo traveler, but I found the room was bigger than expected which really impressed me. The room was very clean, well-designed and comfortable. The bathroom looked cool in industrial deco. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The location is one of the advantages. You can walk to the MRT Ximen station from the hotel for 5 mins or you can call a taxi in front of the hotel. The hotel is also near to the Family Mart, two 7 Eleven shops and the famous Dong yi pork chop restaurant. If you don't have an idea where to go for a meal, just check the foodstagram recommended by the hotel. They put it on the wall opposite to the reception desk. Actually, the hotel provides the guests instant cup noodles, some snacks and drinks all day & night. They also offer sandwiches, bun and donut for breakfast. I loved the sandwiches and bun! They were tasty. I stayed at Roaders Hotel for 6 nights and I really had a pleasant stay. I still fall in love with Taipei and will go back there as soon as possible. Definitely, I will choose Roaders again because I felt like home when I stayed at this hotel. Big heart from me!

By far this is the BEST Hotel I have ever stayed in Taipei ! Perhaps even one of the best I have ever stayed in all my travel, period. Excellent room conditions and a great concept & designed lobby. The most impressive thing about this hotel is their staff friendliness and service. From front desk to concierge to restaurant to the lobby café, they were all Excellent and Awesome ! Special mention for the front desk staff for being extremely helpful and friendly. I will definitely return to stay in this hotel again. Highly recommended and rated !

Deluxe King Bed Review We are a family of three, staying for 4 nights in May. In summary, it has been one of the best stays we ever had anywhere. Location: it is located in between two subway stops: Songjiang Nanjing and Nanjing Fuxing. Nanjing Fuxing is a transfer station so it is very convenient. I heard from other reviews saying that it is quite a walk, but for us it is great. We are used to long walks anyway and we could easily find buses there, too. We are fast walkers so it takes just about 5 minutes so location didnt bother us. Plus there are lots of convenient stores nearby and small eateries in the alleys. There're also some Japanese fast food restaurants. Service: our check in was fast and efficient. Many of the staff speak decent English so we had no problem communicating. We had free breakfast and it was great: we ate there 4 times and except for the scrambled eggs, beverages and cereal corner, all of the menus were different day by day. Note: there were 8 different main food to choose from. Dimsum and bao were also available. Room: We requested a room on the high floor and in the corner because we have a toddler and these requests were given so we were happy. We had windows on two sides of the room and we could even see the Taipei 101 from the distance. The city view was great, overlooking the main street and not back alley. We had a king size bed so it was huge. The bathroom was wide, a bathtub and a shower. Rooms have all amenities: closet, slippers, mini bar, deposit box, water kettle, hair dryer, and they replenished the mineral water everyday. Even if you didnt finish them, they would give two more for free. We never ran out of water when we stayed. The room was wide and our toddler loved it. Overall a very nice hotel, we would recommend this hotel to anyone and we would love to stay here again.

the hotel is located next to taipei main station. that make our travel easier and flexible. hotel staffs are friendly and ready to help at all time. the underground shopping street and foods also within walking distance which is less than 5 mins walk. and the best part is, 7-11 is just around the corner! cosmos is a good and strongly recommended hotel to stay with in taipei city.

I've been staying at W Taipei for twice and this is the 3rd time I stayed there for my Taipei trip. I am a big fan of W Hotels thus always put W on my priority list when I travel different cities around the world. The W Taipei, as what you can expect for all W Hotels in the world, is more like a Night Club rather a hotel. It locates at the most happening place of Taipei City - the Xin Yi District which full of restaurants, shopping malls, and night clubs. You can walk to the landmark Taipei 101 Tower within 15 min and some of the guest rooms are facing to the 101 Tower with a very nice city view. There is a popular night club Woo Bar at the hotel lobby level which is quite a happening place in Taipei, thus you may see lots trendy people in the evening for clubbing and even in the day time for afternoon tea. As you may expect, therefore, it is quite noisy in the evening. Some of the rooms with the Pool view could be quite noisy since the outdoor club is beside the pool. I actually had an experience before that it was quite noisy even in the guest room on high level floor until mid night, thus you may not be able to have a good rest in the room. If you are not staying at W Taipei for experiencing the night life, I would recommend not to select the poolside rooms to avoid the noise. The hotel breakfast is relatively expensive and I encourage travelers to explore the neighborhood area for the dinning places. Anyway Taipei is a city that full of place to eat and there are quite a lot nice and value-for-money dinning places. But W Taipei is still a place you would like to stay if you prefer trendy and modern style of life.
