"the location of magellan sutera is very good,only 3mins drive to the city centre and easy to look for local food. the room is classic,clean and the swimming pool is also an attraction of the hotel. the most amazing part is the breakfast,there're so many choices of food and drinks (including italy coffee) for us. well,the service,environment,cleaniness,facilities,food and drinks are all above my expectation. it could be considered as the best 5-star hotel in kota kinabalu."

"The Pacific Sutera (silk) is probably the best Resort hotel in Kota Kinabalu. What they dont tell you in the website is that you can also enjoy the pool areas of the MAGELLAN And their members only "marina" (great for the kids!). THe Marina is the only pool area that has the slides, so if you plan to stay here at the PAcific, walk around the boardwalk - its good excercise and make the huge complex a bit closer to each other. "

"I am very satisfied with their service and facilities.. With the room rate agoda gave us, I was expecting nexus resort is just another ordinary beach front resort. Hey, Nexus did disppoint us. It is far more than just a beach front resort. They have a lot to offer. They have 5 restaurants in their resort, a spa equipped and designed to make you feel more relaxed and sort of a VIP. A shuttle service to move you around the resort. Their beach, made me decide to visit again kota kinabalu. Despite of having beautiful beaches here in the Philippines, it calls me to go back. Indeed rumors are true that kota kinabalu have very nice beach, not polluted, fine white sand, all these infront of nexus resort. Staff were very kind and helpful. "

"The hotel/resort is a very very beautiful place... very quiet and tranquil.. The only drawback was that the resort is quit far from the main city.. Food is good especially the one where we dine at "TEPI LAUT".. The room is spacious and I really appreciate the mini pool by the balcony.. Staffs are helpful and very attentive.. If it weren't for the distance between the main city and the hotel, this resort would be really really nice... But, I like the gestures made by the hotel to abate the distances issue, they provide shuttle bus going to and forth from the hotel to the main city..."

"Had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly polite and friendly. The restaurant food was very good (particularly the BBQ) and very big portions! Great value for money. The room was lovely and clean and the private beach area was clean and always had sun beds free. There was lots of coral and fish to see when snorkelling. The jungle and sunset walks were also very pleasant with lots of monitor lizards and birds to see. I would recommend this hotel and would return if I am ever back in Kota Kinabalu."

"I can’t describe how much i loved this place. We stayed in ocean view room which was best in my entire journey in Kota Kinabalu. The veiw from the balcony was astonishing. You can directly jump into the sea from the balcony. You can borrow snorkeling tools and kayak at the reception for free. Also hotel offered free boat service from Jesselton point to the hotel at fixed time. I would definitely come and stay here again!!! Hope this place doesn’t become so famous that i can easily book. :)"

"If you are looking for midrange resort in Kota Kinabalu, Beringgis beach resort is the perfect choice. Immediately upon check in, I was impressed by the resort lobby which is uniquely Asian and Malaysian.The front desk staff were extremelly friendly and helpfull, I was given all info that I need. The lobby has a sundry shop, mini library and internet corner, You can enjoy the beutiful and green garden from the lobby. Soon after checked in, I was assisted by the bellhope to my room and impressed with the cleanliness.I was given newly renovated room which is very comfortable and have a great view of swimming pool. the breakfast served was very good and the spa packages was reasonable, value for money. I was very satisfied with my stay and will come back to this resort again."

"In more than a decade of business and pleasure travel across the world, this hotel was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Even some days after our departure, we are not able to point to a single area in which our experience at Bunga Raya could have been made more enjoyable. The staff were excellent and no service was too much trouble for them to make our stay so memorable. This was part of our honeymoon, so that is particularly pleasing. Our room was in the hills with a wonderful view over the bay (which, unlike the sister resort Gayana Eco Resort, is completed isolated and has no view of the highrise buildings of Kota Kinabalu). Other guests had villas right on the beach. All the room types seemed similar quality and were specifically designed so that one villa did not unduly interfere with or overlook the neighbouring villas. When we were too lazy to walk to the restaurants, we were given transport in a golf buggy very promptly. Many tables at the restaurants were well positioned to overlook the sea. Where those tables were full, the rainforest area was well developed into beautiful koi carp pond, fed by waterfall and where Monitor lizards basked in the sun. The same sites greeted our breakfast, which was substantial and offered good variety. The beach grill offered a more economical food option to the main restaurant, plus the 'on-beach' setting. Frankly, we were very satisfied with all the food options on the island. The Bunga Raya offers free transport to the sister Gayana Eco resort, where you can directly add costs and expenses to your room bill at Bunga Raya - so you do not have to take cards and money with you. And therefore you have complete escape from the realms of the credit card and the usual forced extraction of cash from tourists. This was a particularly nice touch. The mini bar is free and restocked every day. Cocktails are free or heavily discounted between 6-7pm every day. We wholeheartedly recommend this place."

"Before anything else, I would like to say their nasi lemak is one of the best I've ever tasted in Sabah. Their complimentary breakfast includes that nasi lemak or American breakfast. Take that nasi lemak, you won't regret it :) Place is cool, high up the mountain. The windy road is a bit of hassle to drive but hey, that's part of the experience right. The room is comfortable. Parking your car is requires you to be extra careful since you are parking beside the very steep hill. The resort has a fantastic view of the mountain range and the Kota Kinabalu city itself. It can get very cold at night. One downside is there are lots of bugs at night. Seriously, I've never seen that many bugs. My wife was bitten everywhere just by walking to our room. Other than that, I don't have any qualms. Overall, it's a worthwhile to stay there."
