Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were nice touches like free biscuits and coffee and a free mini bar with drinks and snacks. The hotel is in a good area that's walkable with lots of restaurants, cafes and shoppes. There are several bus stops in the vicinity and an MRT station ~5-10 min away. It's nice if your looking to be a bit outside of the city but go in when you are ready to sight see with the crowds. Only downside is it's far away from parts of the downtown city especially if you use public transport.

Loved staying at Santa Grande. I enjoyed being able to use the lovely roof top pool and shower after an early morning arrival. Room and bed were comfortable and the location right near Joo Chiat Road perfect for exploring the neighbourhood. Staff at reception were extremely friendly too!

Had a very pleasant stay at Santa Grand Hotel! Love the location. The Katong area is very nice and especially vibrant at night with many bars and restaurants. The hotel is also in close proximity to a number of large malls with a lot of food such as Katong i12 and Parkway Parade. The nearby bus stop has a number of direct buses to Changi Airport and CBD area which was convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. Supposed to check in at 3pm but came early and the staff let me checked in at 1pm instead. Forgot my sweater at the hotel when checking out and later in the afternoon they informed me about it and helped me keep the sweater until I could get someone to collect. Nice and clean room, not too small but not much space for walking either. Was still able to sit on the floor to eat and there was enough space to open my luggage which was great. TV is huge and has free access to Netflix and Youtube. However the bathroom did leak water on the floor. The shower area is quite small and water tend to flood out a bit while showering. Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely come back next time.

It was a room without windows, only lit by a skylight, but it was sufficient just for sleeping. When the showerhead broke, it was quickly replaced. It was also conveniently located not far from the airport. There were plenty of dining options around (including a 24-hour establishment on the opposite side of the station), so I never went hungry.

“Staycation ”
I recently stayed here for a quick one-night staycation and overall had a lovely experience. The location is fantastic — surrounded by plenty of Pilates and yoga studios, which was a huge plus for me. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to unwind and still stay active. Check-in and check-out were incredibly smooth, with friendly staff and efficient service that made everything hassle-free. The bed was super comfortable — perfect for a good night’s rest in theory… Unfortunately, the soundproofing wasn’t the best. I could hear kids screaming in the hallway late into the night, which did take away from the peaceful vibe. One thing I really wish was different: the pool hours. It closes a bit early, and it would’ve been great to take a late-night dip after dinner. That aside, it’s a solid option for a short getaway — clean, comfy, and well-located.
