Traveler impressions of Phu Quoc Island
Phu Quoc is famous for the friendly, fish sauce, dogs but the most is beaches. You can find a lot of nice and peace beaches everywhere.
There's not much to do at night except eat at the night market. During the day there's plenty of places to visit but nothing too fancy.
There are many things to do here. However, I went with my family and children thus stayed only inside Vinpearl which was enough for them.
Didnt think much of this island unless you are looking for a holiday at the beach and eating seafood.
It's a nice island, but quit expensive. The food and products are expensive if compare to Saigon. But generally it's a god spot for city escape.
Very quite and calm island, the citizens are extremely friendly, good place to visit in order to experience local vibes
It is a great way to rent a motorbike and explore Phu Quoc on your own (provided that you are not over 60 lol).
less developed and rural at its basic. Love how rural it is at the local market... But, in time, it will be developed like Danang and Phuket.
Squid fishing and island touring on a motorcycle were the highlights. Seafood at the night market is overrated.
The people were really friendly. They love to help you find the way, give you advices about the places you want to come.
There are rubbish every where. Plastic and glass allover, even at beaches. At sao beach i see, that hotel worker throw bag of garbage srait to beasc.
I have been living in Ha Noi for two years and decided to have a beach break for 5 days. However my negative experiences in Phu Quoc ended up out weighing the positive.
Beautiful islands with so many beautiful beaches with clean & clear seawater and white smooth sand but the waves are not strong, not suitable for people who love surfing.
If you're into sitting by the pool or on the beach just relaxing and doing nothing, then Phu Quoc is a good place to go.
Phu Quoc Island is such a new tourism attraction in Vietnam. I got a bad impression of Phu Quoc Island.
This is our first time travel here. It turned out perfect. We would like to recommend to everyone not to miss out for your short holiday and we will be back again.
In one day, visitors can experience the culture of Vietnam at the local market in the morning, relax on a remote and stunning beach in the afternoon, enjoy a delicious dinner and drinks at one of the restaurants and enjoy accommodation at the variety of hotels and resorts on this superb island getaway.
Relaxing place. Should come up with more activities on the island. generally still not so commercialize yet hence it is good.
It's ok if you take a resort with high paying. Going solo you would pay much for such a city with very high price for eating, seafood is not cheaper than eating it in Ho Chi Minh city.
I was passing through , so could have stayed at any of the beaches out of town . I hired a scooter for 2 days , 2000000 /day .
I think this island makes us relaxed. this island has both well developed areas and undeveloped area.
We chose PhuQuoc, as we were looking for somewhere warm to swim. The island is very quiet and still not developed.
Great place for a family or a couple to visit. Beaches are clean, the water is warm and the seafood flows.
A nice island with good beach/sand and relaxation. Seafood is fresh, good and widely popular obviously.
Nice island with quite some places and things to discover: - It is an nice island, so all regular sea/beach/sand related: sea boating/cruising/swimming, diving, snorkelling.
A visit to the night fish Market is a must but you can also enjoy fresh fish at all restaurants .Tours can be arranged and i would recommend a boat trip out to go snorkelling / diving extremely cheap well organised and staff at rainbow divers are professional and safety concious .
a couple nights here is honestly enough. Food and drink and hotels are so expensive and not so great.
Unfortunately, being Australian we are spoilt. The beaches here are overrated and dirty. If you want to look at the beautiful sunsets, lie in a hammock, ride around the island exploring - you will have a great time but the water has rubbish.
Gorgeous island with beautiful white sand and clear blue waters. The nicest part of Viet Nam in my opinion.
Phu Quoc Island is totally different from HCM city. The security standard is better. The food are cheaper and more delicious
Phu Quoc Island's best hotels with breakfast
Pros. Modern luxury hotel, face control system, a lot of elevators, clean beach, perfect own aqua park, reach breakfast and dinner Cons I booked a room with unlimited access to the water park to Vinperland. Indeed, it was access to own aqua park. Be careful when you gonna book such an option. We asked calm rooms but it was busman's holiday due to room service. We are ...
The location is great, we can walk to the night market. Morning buffet was also amazing, the pool and beach is also great. But we’re disappointed because the pool was closed at 7 pm. Swimming and drinking at night is one of the best part of holiday in Phu Quoc island, it should be opened till 9 or 10 pm.
It is indeed a very good resort with large space covered by lots of trees, spacious room with awesome furniture and good customer service. Room rate is quite reasonable given it is a 5-star resort. The location is also good to as it is located 5 km around Duong Dong town where visitors can find a variety of restaurants and access to Phu Quoc Night Market. The Shells ...
I love this hotel so much. The location is a little bit far but you can enjoy wonderful times for driving the motorbike from the hotel to the central of this island. All the services is really good. The room are nice and the staff also really nice and friendly... I love this hotel and of course I will come back here again... This is the only hotel that I feel relax and...
Except for the water pressure from my room shower. Every are just too perfect to be true. Beach is so much cleaner and beautiful than Sao Beach (what everyone saying the best beach in Phu Quoc in the net). Friendly staff. Bars are fabulous. Foods and beverages are reasonable price. Breakfast variety are way above expectation. Worth every penny of mine staying in this h...
Lahana resort is a hidden gem in Phu Quoc.. amazing surroundings, the pool is a dream and the rooms are beautiful and with all necessary amenities. Staff is really friendly although sometimes hard to communicate because they mainly don’t speak fluent english. The breakfast was great and with a lot of variety.. the hotel was great value for the money! We were very pleas...
The resort has a nice location, only 15 minutes from the airport (100,000 VND taxi). It's near the center of Phu Quoc island, make it easy to travel to the attractions in north and south. Has private beach, the water itself is clean, but there are plastic bags from other tourists (actually I found that is a common problem in Phu Quoc, some of the local restaurants and...
I will book it again next time
Must to say that we decided to extend one more night because hotel’s service is very excellent. We really enjoyed the hospitality from the staff here. The way they served food, drinks and the way they guided us to explore Phu Quoc. Everything is AMAZING.The Operation manager and staffs were really helpful and considerate to us as we are staying one of the most valued h...
were friendly. They always smiled and were willing to help us whenever we needed. Breakfast was great, especially bun bo. I could not image that with our little money, we could find such a great hotel like that. The next time we go tho Phu Quoc, An Phu will be our first choise, of course.
Don't think you can stay anywhere better in phu Quoc right now. This resort is truly amazing and the staff is super service minded. Love it and would recommend it to both couples and families. Only downside is that it is a bit off location but all resorts here are and since the beach is the best on the island there is little need to go anywhere else other than some exc...
We booked this hotel for two nights. Cosy bed and it is pretty enough for two-pax stay. Bathroom is open area with natural sunlight shining through the plastic roof, which turns out quite wet if it rains. Motorbike rent at 150,000 dong per day. We had electricity cut-off after a thunderstorm at night, and the friendly security guard barely understood english. Eventuall...
We got a last-minute booking here over Christmas and the place was great! Fantastic staff, good food, fun Christmas decor and Santa arriving by boat to the beachfront holiday party. We had been upgraded into a larger bungalow upon arrival, then asked to move to our normal class bungalow when another (unplanned booking?) family arrived - it was a minor nuisance to move,...
Well what can I say, this is the best hotel I think in entire Phu Quoc Island. Our Room was absolutely amazing! The breathtaking view of the sea, glassed bathroom , We got a welcome gift of a bowl of fresh fruits a Vitenamese Hat and SOL Tote Bag, The food was INCREDIBLE. The staff were WONDERFUL most especially Lance the Filipino Manager heading the reception. The poo...
We really loved the Thanh Kieu Resort. We were in Phu Quoc for 4-nights in February. The weather was tolerable and the ocean at that time is clean and not rough at all. The location, the beach, the staff. We really didn't know what to expect but when we got there, we were blown away. The bungalows, although a tad rustic, were quaint and comfy. The semi-outdoor ba...
There is something very special about Salinda Resort. The staffs are warm, friendly, sincere, attentive and helpful. My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights at the Garden Villa. The room is big, clean, comfortable bed and nice warm layout making it relaxing even though there is construction going on next to the resort. The noise didn't affect our stay there. The res...
The facility was not convenient for beach access, the maids never cleaned the bathroom, the room safe didn't work, the air conditioner was crappy. I usually don't post reviews, and I hate people that complain. But this was our honeymoon and we were expecting a nice experience in phu quoc. It wasn't. Period.
I 've stayed at this hotel for 3 days with my mom and baby. When we arrived, staffs welcomed us with warmhearts. All the facilities and restaurants are so clean and nice and lots of staffs were managing gardens in the resort so hard. Swimming pool and connected beach were so clean and well-managed. Above all, we were so impressed by attitude and mind of the staffs. Un...
I was already three times on Phu Quoc Island and the Saigon Phu Quoc Resort and Spa is the best hotel I was there till now. The location is great because it's also very close for walking to the town center and night market. To other side you can walk a long way along the beach and visit fish restaurants, bars and other nice places. The bungalows was great and very co...
phu quoc island was a last minute addition to our trip, and we're so glad we chose mango bay as our tropical island escape! set around a small cove near ong lang beach, mango bay is about 8km from the airport and is accessed from a dusty road through a mango orchard. mango bay is an ecofriendly resort, using solar panels and organic/recycled building materials througho...
We had a lovely time at the Camia Resort, the first hotel of our stay in Phu Quoc and definitely the right choice for us! Impeccably designed and landscaped, the huts are dotted along a hill and the beach bar/restaurant is right over the water with world-class views of the sunset. The breakfast buffet was the favourite of our trip. The 3 layered iced coffee was also th...
It is a very good place to stay if you want to spend a lot of time at Vinpearl park or play golf. There are a lot of things to do for children: amusement park, waterpark, aquarium, games center, etc. All of it is included in the room rate. Good point about these places was that there weren't many people, especially comparing to Vinpearl park in Nha Trang. So you just...
This place is perfect. You can rent one room in the villa which is very beautiful, has a private pool and room service. The decor is warm and lovely and it’s super safe and clean. We love the sunset view and seafood here. We spent 4 days to discover Phu Quoc island. This hotel just a minute walking distance away from the beach. Staffs are so friendly and helpful. Smal...
Beautiful place with spacious and private villas. Very friendly staff and excellent services! Our family had a great time here at Fusion Phu Quoc and we will definitely visit this place again!
We really enjoyed our stay.if you can afford it get the seaview room. Dominic and the reception staff need a medal. They help from taxi to tours to advice. The balcony is large, the rooms big, king kong supermarket close by and many eating places. Atms, laundry, all very close.Drinks and food around pool area are very well priced. The pool is lovely and cool, the ocean warmer ...
We had a great 5 night family stay here in a family room, which was lovely. The pool area is magnificent and the beach area is nice. Only downside is the sea pollution that the hotel tries to clear but we didn’t swim in the sea here as we fished out nappies, plastic bags, bottles on our first day so we stuck to the pool. Apparently in the rainy season it is best to st...
We stayed for a week at the Daisy resort and found everything excellent. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The 'outside' bathroom was quirky and clean with plenty of toiletries. The breakfast was very good. The staff went over and above being helpful especially when I had an accident on a hired motorbike. Ellie from the hotel came with a driver to help s...
