This is a type of traveler who only stays within the resort when they go on vacation to a resort. I chose this resort because I wanted to go to an all-inclusive resort. Before going, I was very worried because the reviews from Koreans were not very good. However, after experiencing it for ourselves, we are very satisfied. Pukuko was humid because it was the rainy season. When we entered the room on the first day, it was so humid that it smelled a little bad, so they installed a dehumidifier or an air purifier and cleaned it very thoroughly. Even though we didn't speak English well, they explained everything very kindly. And the breakfast was also very delicious, and although the sunbeds by the pool were quite old, we didn't have much inconvenience using them. And all the restaurants inside the resort were good and delicious. During our 4-night, 5-day stay at the resort, we used the massage service twice, and the service from a staff member named Lin was very good, and the massage was also very good. I had too much sun and was in pain, but the sunburn care was great. I highly recommend the massage. The sunset seen from the swimming pool or the room was really really good. It was much better than the cafe photos that said the sunset was good. The service from the staff was also good, and everything from drinks, food, and alcohol was included, so we ate to our heart's content. I want to use it again for my vacation next year. Unless you are a very sensitive Korean, it is a place that you will like enough! Highly recommended! If you have children, I recommend a place with a well-equipped kids' club. There didn't seem to be anything special. I recommend it for couples!

How fortunate we were to have stayed here in this absolutely exquisite resort in a poolside suite! From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and the staff were friendly helpful and attentive. The resort is set amongst established lush tropical gardens and the views to the private beach can be seen from the grand reception area. Our suite was large, well equipped and spacious with comfortable bedding and the bathroom was luxurious and large. Our private pool was a welcome escape to cool off in the middle of the day and in the evening after dinner at any of the fabulous on-site restaurants. The food was delicious with so much variety with a medical dedicated place as well as poolside dining and a large main restaurant showcasing both Vietnamese and western menus. The breakfast buffet was next level with so much to choose from and definitely had something for everyone. The main resort pool and swim up bar with views to the private beach with poolside cabanas was the place to spend our days and staying just three nights felt like so much longer in how relaxed and refreshed we felt after our time at Sol. We will be back and we most highly recommend this resort.

Sol is a beautiful resort. Whilst not exactly cheap, it sure gives a sense of luxury and relaxation. Room: We upgraded to a room with pool access which was lovely for evening dips. (2111) Its not very deep but nice to just dip in after the day. This time of year is quite hot and I wish my pool water at home could be this warm, as it would enable me to use my own pool in winter. Yet here, I would actually like the water a tiny bit cooler. Take note, it is the tropics and having lived in Darwin for 11 years, we know this is just how it is, so not a problem at all. The Room is spacious and clean and the bed comfortable. Loved all the bath products and vanity basket. Breakfast has plenty of options and we really enjoyed it. Dinner: Needs lots of improvement. On our first night we went to one restaurant, The Kitchen and the atmosphere was totally dead. No one looked happy. It was not inviting and the menu very uninspiring. We ended up taking a grab to 100LTD which was awesome . Another night we decided to give it another go and tried the Spanish restaurant on site. Big mistake and and disappointment. We ordered paella to share and only got a couple of scraps of seafood. Definitely not worth the price. Taste was okay, but not good. We are fond of cooking and real food lovers. Saying that, we have cooked paella at home countless times and I am sorry to say this but the SOL version has not meet my expectations in the least. Spa: The ladies are really good at what they do and I thoroughly enjoyed my signature massage, hot stone and Thai massage sessions. Kudos to them, they are awesome. So yes, I recommend SOL and would love to return. I would not purchase the all inclusive package as I feel you have much better options for lunch and dinner in town. The cocktails are nice enough but looking at the all inclusive list, there's not many to pick from.

4 nights at Sol, go for it”
On this trip, we are staying 4 weeks on Phu Quoc, staying at various resorts, and decided to stay 4 nights at Sol. Having stayed on a previous trip we were already familiar with the property. Location: has a nice stretch of clean beach, quite close to the airport, quiet ie nothing close by, yet a short taxi ride to the main busy area of Long Beach should you wish to go out in the evening. The resort: clean comfortable rooms, with sea view are dependably good and should not disappoint. The staff are friendly welcoming and helpful. A series of free activities are available such as morning yoga, aqua exercise, swimming lessons, and fitness classes. Which is a nice touch. Breakfast is extensive, varied, fresh, and nicely presented. Overall: it is a dependable choice that is good value, and friendly. Compared to similar size resorts we have stayed at, there was a more noticeable mix of Europeans, expats who live in Vietnam in Hanoi and saigon, and other tourists. Net result is a friendly atmosphere and the potential for nice chats in the pool bar over glorious sunsets which are in full view until the sun disappears into the ocean. Overall: recommended. Tip: get yourself a nice beach lounge chair on the beach in the morning as some are comfortable with mattresses, and others a bit har. Enjoy!
