South Thonburi hotels & places to stay

We travelled to Bangkok and had our first 2 nights here to recover from the jetlag with 2 young children. Nice appartment and very helpfull staff. Our main reason to stay here was for easy connecting to Thonburi station so we could easily transfer by train to Kanchanaburi. Also the staff helped us very well by organising a ride to station that was punctual. McDonalds around the corner (nice for 2 children of 4 yrs old experiencing asia for the first time). Mall and seven eleven on 200 meter distance.

My daughter and I from South Africa visited my son, who has been living in Bangkok for over two yrs now.Park Village allowed us to accomodate him and his girlfriend to spend time with us as if we were in our own home. The suite is spacious and well equipped. Altough homely, it is also quite upmarket with very good quality finishes in the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen as well as in the livingroom. Strongly recommended if you want some space, style and the freedom to do your own thing!Breakfast variety is limited, but the view and ambiance of the breakfast area made up for it !

this is good and clean low budget hotel if there was fitness center or swimming pool it would be at least 4 stars hotel. room- and laundry service are very cheap here. only bad thing is suksawat street what is very heavy traffic during 6-9 am and 17-20pm. however taxi ride to brt (nara rama 3) or bts (krung thonburi) cost 90-130baht and takes 30-60 minutes depending on traffic.

We were driving from the north to the south, so we didn't want to go through downtown Bangkok, so opted for the western outer ring road. The hotel was located conveniently on our planned way and was very cheap, so we decided to give it a try. It was alright, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great, after a half day driving, so we could continue our journey refreshed. The staff was kind and helpful as well, even at midnight, when we arrived

I up graded to the more expensive room. It was 22 sq feet bigger (2 sm) for $1.50 more. AWESOME. Very new looking hotel, super helpful and friendly staff. Super clean and the bathroom was first class. The bed was not super Thai hard, but still hard for Farangs. Air Conditioning worked good and quiet, the hotel is quiet, clean, new looking. The staff was very helpful and nice. Spoke good English. They have a little restaurant which had a nice American and Thai breakfast. Nice owner. Free computer to use in the lobby. Only 500 THB key deposit. Nice big refg. in room. I would highly recommend this hotel. The taxi driver could not find it, he drove past Soi 18. Dropped us off at Soi 15. so we walked maybe a mile. Other taxi drivers found it ok. They have a 7-11 and motor cycle taxis at the corner, short walk. A few small outdoor restaurants on the Soi 18 also. If you need this area, you will not do better the 14 Living. Awesome for the price. Awesome not counting the price. Small but friendly hotel. Big rooms, clean, very fancy bathroom. Super shower. I am very impressed with 14 Living.

Felt safe and secure and they always were where they could see the comings and goings. They have a place to eat that is good and cheap. There was even security coming into the parking area 24/7. It isn’t a five star but it isn’t priced as a five star. I will return myself and stay at 14 Mansion again. The Hospital is right next door and a 1 min. walk if you need a doctor. Shopping is very close. It is very Thai but it is in Thailand after all. I did enjoy my stay there.

This is my first trip to Thailand and this is my 4th hotel I've stayed at. It might not be in the greatest location for tourists, but I am here for other reasons. Customer service here is unlike the customer service that I have received at my prior hotels. We wanted to microwave some popcorn so we called the front desk to see if they had a microwave. They were willing to come up to our room and grab the popcorn, run downstairs to microwave it, then back up to deliver it. I've never had anyone ask to go above and beyond like that before. They are extremely friendly and willing to help. We needed some plates, bowls, and silverware because we got food to go, one call and they delivered it. Even when we were looking for ice (20 bhat), they came and delivered it The Standard Queen room was always clean with great amenities such as its own AC unit, Sony Bravia LCD TV's, Sony DVD Players, mini fridge, water boiler, 2 free bottles of water, nice clean furniture, and a comfortable bed. Bathroom is clean and not too small. Balcony is nice and has a sink to wash dishes after use. The owner of the property is great! She speaks perfect english which is a huge plus for me since i can only say 4 thai words and sometimes mix the words up. I believe she is the kind of person that actually cares and reads reviews to improve what people are not happy with. Such as the prior reviews with no dining on premises, now there is a restaurant here. Another with no english channels, there is a huge free DVD collection in the lobby that you can use. Lastly extended stay discounts, which they offer now. The Kozy Inn is exactly that. Its a Cozy hotel to stay at in Bangkok. I will be returning next month and will be trying out their Executive room and will be reviewing that too.

This is a good place to be if you want a breather from the city. It's quiet and green, great pool landscape, gym, seven eleven and quite a few choices for eating. Fast wifi too. Basically you can live quite comfortably without leaving the premises. The 1 bedroom apartment is modern, clean and comfortable, full-fledged cooking facilities, TV, DVD etc. Suitable for longer stays. Reach BTS Wuttakat via 5 min shuttle or taxi ride

Best place with cool host in Bangkok ! Big mango tree guesthouse is the best place to stay in this area. The location is nice just 10 min walk from KMUTT university. 5 min walk to big big fresh market. So easy to go everywhere by bus. The host is super cool guy and being like your local friend . He pick me up from the station nearby. Show me around Bangkok both night and day life. Fantastics experience i ever had. Now we are brother /sister ! Always come back and recommend everyone. Cheers!

Just a quick overnight staycation, but absolutely floored by the location. I took a longtail boat in the evening (less than a dollar) from the Klong Toei ferry dock, and landed on the Bang Krachao side. Turned left as I stepped off the pier, walked not more than 20 metres and there's a tiny gate where the nightman welcome us. We walked into a green property that is not less than 5 hectares, in the shape of a rectangle with one of the short sides bordering the river (where the ferry is) and the other bordering one of the roads in Bangkrachao. He walked us across the property to our tent. The tent was spacious (I'm six feet and could easily stand inside) and included a fan, little table, two bottled waters and a light. We asked where we could get dinner and he kindly offered to go buy it for us. We handed over about six dollars and he went to fetch some Thai basil chicken with rice. We asked for directions to the pool and headed over for a late night swim, it was fantastic. The tent was a little warm of course, but it's Thailand. I still feel asleep within minutes. I woke up a little sore but again, it's camping so that's kind of part of the experience. When we woke up, we walked back over to the little gate and right at the ferry terminal is a bike rental shop. We rented two bikes for about 2 dollars each, and then biked around Bangkok's Green Lung for a few hours, including stops for coffee, breakfast and food. Highlights for the uninitiated are the new temple with the giant statue of Ganesh, the not-so floating market in the center of the island and the national park near Punntara. The property also includes several beautiful pool villas (which are really quite big) and are located near the river-side. The tent area is immediately after the pool villas and is on a man-made lake that is surrounded by other buildings. I reserved two nights in Bangkok tree house with my boyfriend. This place is more modern than my expectation. The room is well-facilitated, with wifi, PC and air-con. The 2-storey house is absolutely spacious. It's very relaxing to stay at the roof top to enjoy sunset and stars in the evening since the weather becomes cooler. It's a bit scary to use the in-house staircase which is high and narrow! However, the interior deco is stunning that you can feel the nature even you are actually at the city of Bangkok. I would only suggest them to improve is the cleanliness of bedsheet and pillow case where I found some obvious dirt on them. The all-day dinning restaurant is another relaxing place where you can sit, chat and read for 24 hours. Ice-cream and chilled water are provided without charge as a refreshment all the day. The service is exceptional. After our reservation, we received a detailed email telling us the location, transporation and contact method which was very useful. When we arrived the pier, we were impressed that they sent a staff to pick us up and escorted us to the tree house. When we checked out, Joey, who is a nice owner, also sent a staff to assist us to leave and take a taxi. Actually, during the whole stay, the service there is outstanding that cannot be better!

The hotel is a short walk from the Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok pier. Everything was very new and clean, and had a fresh coat of paint, apparently because of recent filming for a TV drama. The staff were very warm and welcoming. However, the high prices may be preventing better occupancy rates--though one shouldn't complain about having the place to oneself. The noise from speed boats along the river may also be disturbing for some. Being located among the mangroves, do expect mosquitoes. The staff were happy to provide mosquito coils and insect repellent to ensure the outdoor dining experience was relatively pleasant. Because the hotel is quite secluded, be prepared to fork out upwards of 200THB per dish, especially for dinner. On the upside, the food was good, and Singha is on tap.

This a great hotel for a quiet getaway, and it's easy and convenient to get to from the BTS. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of our stay. It was quiet, and the nature was beautiful. The hotel is new and the rooms are beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and service from the staff was excellent. There are bikes to rent, with many great places to bike to. There are several restaurants and a convenience store within walking/biking distance. I am so happy to have found this place, and I am excited to visit again soon!!
