A Hidden Gem”
The St. James Hotel is a very decent place. Conveniently located on Sukhumvit Soi 26, a short distance from BTS Phrom Phong, it’s just after the the Double Tree Hotel. St. James is from an earlier era, more modest, less designer influenced in style and atmosphere but still tastefully decorated. Very clean in both the rooms and the common areas, and quiet enough that I had no complaints after 5 nights. My room was mid-small, but well maintained and serviced. It featured adjustable aircon, TV, a large comfortable bed (though the pillows could stand an upgrade), a coffee maker and minibar frig, a desk with a desk chair, a small service table with a large comfy chair, outlets on both sides of the bed, and just opposite my window, a lovely view of a parking structure that, lucky for me, had seen very little action while I was there, and there were blackout curtains. The bathroom had a toilet equipped with the latest Japanese bidet-like squirting seat feature, and a tub and shower combo complete with shower curtain and removable hand-held shower head. They supply hand soap, shampoo, body gel, and a few other items; towels were restocked daily. The restaurant was only open for breakfast while I was there (I did not eat there), and the pool looked to be about 16 meters and clean. I didn’t swim, but it looked okay for a few easy laps—rectangular but not a lap pool. All things considered, the price was fair, and I was very comfortable spending 5 nights in a straight forward, regular establishment that did a rather good job being itself.

I have been to Thailand 4 times and stayed at several hotels in different locations but this time I feel very lucky to stay at StJames. Staff is very very friendly, warm and helpful (esp the man in day shift). Location is great for you to walk just a few mins to BTS Phra Phong or Rung Rueang Noodles (so popular noodles in BK with lots of food delivery shippers waiting outside). Its also easy to get a grab here and very safe to get on and off. 7/11 store is nearby so it makes my stay even more convienient. I love the location because its located in a quiet block although the main road is not far from St James. My favorite part of stay is facilities and tiny things this hotel brought to me. You can be surprised when you come and experience. I think you r gonna think same like me.

Room was spacious, clean, towels smells very good, wifi strong enough for working remotely. Location is also very good. Lot of local street food around, close to BTS and Ekkamai bus station. The swimming pool looks little bit different then on photos probably because of the post pandemic times. Otherwise the price vs what u get is good value.

I came here and stayed for 1 week. The hotel is amazing, very clean, the room is spacious and classic with a wooden floor. Location is convenient, only 5min walking to the BTS station (Phrom Pong) The staffs are very friendly and speak well English. Strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hotel in Bangkok.

Stayed 4 nights at the St James Hotel and I will be returning as it ticks all the boxes for me. We were able to check in at 1030 when we arrived so no waiting around for official check in time. Comfortable bed, great air con, fast internet, car parking and a great location. A short drive(1 km) on Soi 26 to Villa, Lotus's and Big C, very convenient. A 7-11 across the soi from hotel for drinks and snacks and a short walk to the BTS on Sukhumvit. Last but not least, the staff, without exception, were very friendly and accommodating.

This is become my favorite place to stay while in Bangkok. The location is great, the rooms are extremely clean, the staff is very attentive, and it is nice and quiet. I just booked four more days and will continue to stay at this hotel each time I return to Bangkok

Friendly smile! ”
At first I thought the the hallways were a little dark. But the room was clean. The bed was hard which took a little getting used to. The staff was friendly and kind and always helpful! Just a quick walk to the mall. 7-11 right across the street and lots of food options! Also the Philippine embassy is less than a 10 minute walk. I would stay here again without a second thought.

Room is big, nice clean wooden floor, with all classical hotel facilities inside the room. Bed linens and towels smell good. It is a bit old but all functioned and maintained well. In the Japanese district close to low rise office complex, a few decent spa and K Village, a nice and spacious mall not tourists. , I walked to my favourite Onsen about 25mins. Will book again next time.

Clean and affordable and quiet.... This review was done in January 2021 after coming out of 15 nights ASQ..... Not sure how this area would deteriorate after the hoards have returned...
