The room was amazing with this glowing roof. The cleanliness of the toilets and the bathroom wasn’t the best thing on the world since it is a budget guesthouse I recommend it for people on a very low budget:)
So I stayed for 4 nights and debate spending more money on new accomodations. There is another hostel with close enough prices that it's not necessary to stay here if to can spare an few extra ¥100. The room had cool air coming in through a ceiling vent and the space was not bigger then a bunk bed and a bit of room the put my suitcase. The bed its self was a foam mattress. The shower was good when I finally asked the staff how it turned on. The bathroom.... Well it was the worst part of the whole place but it's just old and everything there is in need of repairs. Over all I stayed to save my money but I avoided being there other then to sleep and even at that it wasn't a good sleep.
The shower room is spacious and comfortable. After taking a cold shower, I relaxed sitting on a chair on the wide rooftop and felt refreshed. It was wonderful. I was concerned about the smell in the room itself, but I quickly got used to it. It was quiet at night, and I was able to sleep soundly without anyone talking. The staff at the reception were kind, which was my favorite part. The use of the washing machine was inexpensive, and the free dryer was clean.
The staff's response was very good. I was grateful for the presence of a fan even without air conditioning. However, I felt the room I chose was a bit cramped. Also, the shared areas were not well cleaned, so I stopped using the shower (I didn't know where it was, and after seeing the restroom, I gave up looking) and the washing machine. I ended up using a manga café or public bath for the shower, which ended up being more expensive. I appreciate the staff.

“The feeling of a cheap hotel abroad!!!”
I think the people writing other reviews are expecting too much from accommodation that costs around ¥1000 per night... haha I am an 18-year-old university freshman. I used this hotel for a solo trip of three nights and four days. Since it was a solo trip, I wanted to cut down on travel expenses, so I chose this hotel because it was the cheapest. I selected a female dormitory room. First, when I entered, there was a male staff member at the reception. The check-in process went smoothly, and I headed to my room. There was indeed a unique smell, but I wondered if that's common in older buildings. [About the facilities] The air conditioning was on from 6 PM to 6 AM without needing coins! It cannot be used at other times for ventilation, which is managed by the staff. The room size was about 2.5 to 3 tatami mats. I was able to store my luggage normally, and the mattress was bigger than I expected! However, other dormitory rooms that were vacant were smaller than mine, so it varies by room! It might be luck! There was a futon and a pillow. There were also tissues and hangers. There are power outlets. There is an orange light that can be turned on in the room. I went in prepared because the reviews were terrible, but it was cleaner than I expected! However, when I went to sleep, I placed a bath towel on the sheets and a hand towel on the pillow to sleep. There were separate female and male showers as well as shared showers. I only used the female ones, so I don’t know what the shared ones are like, but the female shower area had a slightly moldy smell, like that of a humid swimming pool changing room. However, the shower room had windows and was connected to the outside, so it could be ventilated and there was no smell! There was something like shampoo and something like body soap provided, but neither was labeled, so I couldn’t tell which was which, haha. Therefore, I recommend bringing your own! Outside the shower room, there were two sinks and a trash can. There were also washing machines and dryers! The washing machine was ¥300 and came with detergent. The dryer was free! So I used it to dry my swimsuit! The washing machine was old, but the dryer wasn’t too bad! There was also a shared refrigerator! Everyone was writing their names on their items and many people were using it. [About cleaning] Around 2 PM to 3 PM, the staff comes to clean. That said, they do not clean occupied rooms. They seem to be considerate since there might be valuables and clothing in the room. They were cleaning the checked-out rooms. I could tell from the sound that they were using a roller and a disinfectant spray? I didn’t see the rest directly, so I’m not sure. The shower room also had the trash from an empty shampoo bag that had been there the day before removed, and the bath mat was replaced with a new one, so I think they do a thorough job of cleaning. [About noise] I didn’t find it bothersome. The sounds I heard were just the opening and closing of doors, faint snoring from the male dormitory next door, and the sound of zippers. I was lucky and maybe encountered well-mannered people? There were no loud drunk people returning in the middle of the night. There was also a notice on the wallpaper at the entrance encouraging noise prevention. For ¥1000, there’s a place to sleep, a shower, a toilet, a refrigerator, a hairdryer, a washing machine, a dryer, and even a kettle — I think that’s sufficient. I felt a fresh sense of being in a cheap hotel similar to those in Vietnam or the Philippines, and I didn’t think it was bad. One shouldn’t expect the quality of Japanese hotels. [Things to bring if you stay here] - A padlock (there are no lockers) - Hand towels and bath towels to place on the pillow and mattress - Shampoo and such - Skincare products (the air conditioning can be very drying) - Instant cooling gel for summer (the air conditioning is on, but it might be a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night with the curtains blocking it) - Ear plugs (for when noise is bad) - Odorless refresh spray (for those sensitive to smells)
