Great Location!”
i have been searching for the perfect hotel(i.e, suits our needs) for our stay in hong kong. i am looking for a hotel which is located near night markets and local food stalls with not too small rooms but not too pricy. the sunny day hotel seems to be the one, however, the price was out of budget. until, it gave the 50% promo! i immediately made a booking and crossed my fingers that my intuition was right. i read reviews about it so i have, more or less, idea about the hotel. about our stay: indeed there was a flight of stairs before the reception but it did not bother us. we found the receptionists and staff to be friendly. they allowed us to make the deposit in sgd. they also followed instructions promptly (make up room, change towels). they even allowed us to leave our things after we checked out at 12 nn until 11:30pm as our flight is at 1:30am the following day. about the room: the size of the room is acceptable. it is not too small. the bed was okay as we prefer stiff beds. the room has safe (which we did not use). has tv, phone, hair dryer, lamp, standing hooks. we love love the massage shower. toiletries & textiles provided: shampoo & conditioner foam bath soap 2 shower caps 2 tootbrush with mini sized toothpaste cotton buds and facial cotton 2 bath body towels 2 face towels 1 floor towel 2 bathrobes indeed the location is great! a few minute walk to ladies market, and mtr (mongkok) station. there were sevral superb food stalls we discovered in the vicinty. the only weird thing we noticed about the room, is that they did not provide closets. :d we were satified with our stay and would recommend it to those who love to eat and shop. we would definitely stay there when we visit hong kong again!

Basically the hotel is well located, with walking distance to mongkok MTR, cafes and shopping centres. Can save cost to book from expensive hotels. Sunny Day Hotel,Mong KoK, is valued for money. Wifi is available in the hotel lobby and room.

Perfect Location”
- Few mins away from Mongkok Station - Walking distance to Mongkok Shopping area - Few steps away from Langham Place (very nice mall) - Nice local restaurants along the hotel street - Friendly hotel staff - Fresh towels everyday - However, since the frontdesk is at the 2nd floor, this hotel is not recommended for PWDs since you will have to take the stairs to reach the hotel lobby. - Generally, Sunny Day Hotel Mongkok is OK!

It was a really good stay for my first time in HK”
I had a really good experience at Sunny Day. We had a really good discount from Agoda. Just so new travelers know, there is about 16 steps that you have to walk up to get to the lobby so if you have older guest, this may be a bit tricky. However for the price that we paid, the rooms were perfectly large (I booked a family room and a deluxe room). Very clean and literally just opposite Langham Place and the Mongkok LRT. Amazing Location. There is a Goose Restaurant 2-3 shops away from the hotel. Its called Chan Kee. I recommend having lunch and dinner there.

Hello! Had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Super near and easy access to Mong Kok station, Ladies Market and Langham Place. Near to few convenient shops as well. Room was decent for the three of us, toilet was clean and the area was quiet. We had a very good night rest after a full day of walking. Do note that you will need to climb a flight of stairs to reach the lobby, but there is a lift provided from the lobby to rooms. I travelled with my sisters so we had no problem carrying our luggages up the stairs. But if you are travelling with young children/old people, heads up regarding the stairs. Might wanna reconsider.

NICE HOTEL”
We've stayed in the Hotel for 3days and 2nights, the room was spacious enough for the three of us (hubby, daughter and me). The room was clean and they cleaned and changed towels together with a new set of toiletries daily.. The hotel is very near to Mong Kok MTR, Langham Place, Mong Kok Market, 7/11 and Ladies Market.. We'll stay here again when we go back to Hong Kong..

location situated 3 minutes from mongkok mtr, it maybe a little bit hard to spot, due to the small entrance, but you can't miss 2 large signs hanging over the entrance. 5 minutes walk to ladies street, where the biggest night bazaar in hong kong is. plenty of reasonably priced and delicious food right beside the hotel. room is spacious and well designed compared to many cheaper counterparts. will definitely be back!

Its big hotelroom compare in others hotel in hong kong i've been stay before. Althought the hotel lobby at 2nd floor,and its price expensive but worth.especially the toilet is big. Hotel destination is quite convenience.just walk around 5min arrive MTR station(mong kok station).There's many restaurant around the hotel too.

Great Location”
We were in HK to attend a friend's wedding which was held in Cordis Hotel. It was very convenient for us to go the wedding reception from Sunny Day Hotel, it was just 2 mins walk. It is also very close to Mong Kok MTR station, and right next to Langham Place shopping mall. Although there were only 2 of us, we stayed in the family room. Room was quite big and clean. There was some problem with the shower head and water pressure. Overall experience was not bad.

Clean room and with sanitize bath towels. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends. Close to Mongkok Station exit C4 near Langham Place, Nathan road, Ladies Market and Sneaker Street. A21 Bus stop is also near for going to the Airport. Thank you Sunny Day will surely return!

good: 1. the location is near mong kok mtr station (about 3 min walk) 2. there are a lot of small restaurants around (cheap to expensive) 3. ladies market is just near (this place is good when you plan to buy souvenirs) 4. big shopping malls are near (langham place -5 min walk, and grand plaza -7min walk) 5. convenience store and pharmacies are just walking distance (in front of langham place) 7-11, sasa, bonjour, mannings, watsons. etc. 6. jewelry stores are everywhere and they are all walking distance (chow tai fook, lukfook, chow sang sang - according to the reviews these are the most reputable jewelry shops - all authentic gold and diamonds only) 7. hotel looks old but not creepy at all. good room lights and water heater. 8. everyday cleaning and changing of towels bad: 1. you need to use staircase to go to the main lobby of the hotel. there is no elevator. so you have to carry all your big luggage going upstairs using staircase. 2. no bidet 3. small signage of the hotel

Great location but expect noise”
this is our 3rd trip to hong kong, and this round we searched for a hotel within good walking distance to mongkok mtr. found sunny day, which is like 5 mins walking distance to the mtr. with reviews from other travellers, we expected to have to carry our luggage up the stairs to the first floor hotel lobby. its not too bad because its just a short walk up the stairs, manageble. this is the smallest hotel room i've stayed in so far (previously stayed in grand century and metropark mongkok). 3 bad points i wish to highlight from my experience: 1. room is small, no wardrobe to hang your clothes. 2 extra hangers were provided, so, you can just pile up the clothes you need to hang, and hang it on the stand. 2. pillows are too soft, like almost flat, and the bed is super hard. not so comfy after a tiring day around hk. 3. expect noise! there is a bus terminus just right opposite so you will be hearing bus roaring, honking, and loud chatters of of the drivers late nite...so, if you are one that can't endure this, skip this. i'm at the 6th floor and practically can listen to thier conversation...loud!

The hotel is located at Mongkok behind Langham place, a stone throw away from Mongkok MTR. Perfect location as there are plenty of eateries nearby. Ladies market, Argyle centre is 10mins walk away. The hotel is located in between rows of shophouses, travellers need to take note that you have to climb a flight of stairs to reach the front desk at level 2. There is lift service to your rooms though. Room is relatively big for a triple room, clean and comfortable. There's basic amenities like hair dryer, TV, safe, free wireless internet, toiletries, bottled drinks and bathroom slippers. Do note that there is no fridge in room. Towels and mugs are sealed in plastic bags for hygiene reason. There's an airport bus (A21) around the corner and it cost just HKD33 and I suppose this is the cheapest option to get to the airport! Overall, I am happy with my stay at Sunny Day!

Super good location and big room (for HK standard)”
Right next to Langham Place Mong Kok with half the cost! Of course there is zero service and the room is small. But it's bigger than what I expected and it was clean and efficient. Bathroom is big and not cramped like many other small HK hotels. It's super conveniently located. It's a super plus for me and my friend because when we forgot anything or needed to go to the toilet, we could always just walk back to the hotel. The Mong Kok area is like 35 steps away. Another good thing about Mong Kok location is that if you want to go to the airport, you could just take the MTR to Tong Chong station and take the S1 bus at the terminal there - altogether taking only 50-60 mins costing 20HKD!!! (Of course you could stay in the Tsim Sha Zui or Jordan MTR proximities to get this advantage too since they are all on the same MTR line). Well, if you are not willing to pay for big budget, this hotel is really a good choice to stay. The downside of having to walk a flight of stairs to get to the lobby on the 2nd floor is really not a problem unless you are carrying a 30kg bag with you. But it's only a 12-step stairs anyway! *Tips* There is another hotel right next door to this hotel. It's called H something Hotel. Can't remember. It looks nice too but dunno about the rooms. And the lift and lobby are right on the ground floor. So it's worth a try for that hotel as well. Cheers!

Awesome Location”
First time travelling to Hong Kong and wanted to stay in places that have more local vibe. This hotel is so so close to everything! Food, Shopping, transport to and from airport and transport to other places! For Hong Kong standard, I must say the room is spacious. I booked 2 rooms for 6 adults as we are a family with older children. And it is super spacious. The receptionist is friendly too! Although the hotel looks and feel old but it still clean enough to stay in.
