Temple Bar Crown Square Apartments

Due to the location it’s very noisy in the mornings. The bin men are out emptying glass bins as early as 4am, the seagulls are so loud , and the road sweepers are out early too. However I suppose that’s what you get for being in the centre. The walk to the apartments from where you collect your keys for the Temple Bar Crowne apartments is about a 15 minute walk, we was told 5 mins. The staff at the reception were quite rude too as we had to sit and wait for our transfers that were running late in the small reception area, which we were told we were being too loud. Therefore it’s not really well thought out for people that are tired and want to sit & wait for their transfers, especially for those who have a late flight and you to check out early.

The key card app system was inefficient but we managed to arrange a download of the old app which was good. A little noisy but to be fair that is to be expected with its location.

Blinds need to be black out especially when people are sleeping in the living room, and on the skylights Also beds weren’t set up like we’d requested- I asked for a sofa bed for 2 people to be put in the living room and one a single bed was put in so we had to makeshift a bed on the floor with a spare mattress in the other room

The app they gave as electronic keys didn’t work well. We ended up walking 15 min to the office to obtain the key cards. But the staff was very nice to send us back to the apartment with a taxi. It can be a problem if you arrive late when the office closes. Also a bit noisy if you sleep in the living room on the sofa bed.

For the price we paid, I was expecting a better stay. For example: The entrance of the building (inside) had a strong smell of urine. On the first two days the internet and the TV didn't work. The shower was either ice cold or lava, and it didn't matter the settings on the instant shower, even with the coldest setting the watter was too hot. Some of the shower tiles were falling, grout missing and some broken pieces of the shower door were sitting on the window sill.... The apartment was hot all the time, even with the windows open, with a very cold june weather (10-12 degrees). The boiler room at the entrance was making a constant noise. The oudoor air extractors from the building were also noisy. Althoght the windows had binds on them, the roof window inside the bedrooms had stores that let the light throught, which meant that at 5am it was bright inside the apartment. Some windows on the outter side had seagul feces on them that had been there for days. The floor in the livingroom had waterdamage and the outdoor fourniture was very cheap and not useable. There was two microwaves, the integrated one didn't work. Althought the app to open the door was convenient, the system didn't work very well and it was difficult to get the phone to open the door.
