the bird cage patong guesthouse hotel- (tbcpgh) my choice to stay at tbcpgh was based on location, it's centraly located directly in between the beach, bars, clubs and markets. everything is within a 2 min walk from "ping-pong to ding dong and fresh seafood are but a stones throw away. the hotel offers nice spacious rooms with free unlimited wifi and your own bar fridge and living room area where you can entertain your guests. the bathroom was clean and the kingsized bed was fit for a king or "queen". if you are booking and have a choice try and ask for a room on the first or second floor, the stairs up to the third or fourth can be a challenge when iether carrying bags or intoxicated. although the view is much better from higher up if you plan on just relaxing in your room. out front the hotel has extra services like boat trips to the 5 islands, elephant riding, atv or horse back riding packages and included is pick up from your hotel and drop off after... the bird cage is perfect if you want to get a feel of the city and not want to bother with tuk tuks or taxis you can walk everywhere. the path way from the hotel to the beach is 5 mins and there are signs to follow even through someones fron yard and takes you righ out to the beach. the hotel is very safe has cctv and requests that visitng guests give their information before going to your room, don't worry its just for your safety. the staff was so helpfull and willing to help me with evrything i needed to make my stay an awesome one and indeed it was ! my choice is the bird cage patong guesthouse hotel.

Great modern little Guesthouse in Phuket”
This is a great modern little guesthouse in Phuket. Going by the name, we expected it would be a dirty, slightly gross guesthouse in Patong, however we were pleasantly surprised to find a modern, clean, lovely hotel-like guesthouse in the Bird Cage Patong. The staff were very friendly and the guesthouse was located close to the beach and some great restaurants. Would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

My boyfriend and I greatly enjoyed our three week stay at the Bird Cage Guesthouse Hotel. The owner and staff of the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful with any inquiry you have, whether it's room issues or suggestions on local sights/activities. The location of the hotel is FANTASTIC! In five minutes you can walk from the hotel to any of the main attractions in Phuket: Bangla Road, Jungcelyon, or the beach. There are also tons of great dining options within a short walk from the hotel and the hotel itself is very well kept and clean. The in-room wifi was also surprisingly fast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Very clean, affordable, fantastic location”
the bird cage hotel has a fantastic location if you want to be close to the action of patong. the hotel was only a few minutes stroll to bangla road, 5 minutes walk to patong beach and literally right next door to the main road of patong that has lots of markets and street stalls to barter and buy stuff from. this area of phuket, and patong, is also the centre of dining options. there are also plenty of thai and european choices to be had. definitely recomment this hotel if you want a clean, quiet place to sleep and somewhere where you can walk to everything you need.

All the staff very friendly,a good location,i like the morning clean room service,everytime we back to our room,we can rest in the clean environment,the wifi access is everywhere,each floor have own wifi,very suitable for those who can't live without internet like me,haha.Airport shuttle also available at this hotel，in front of the hotel have a stall to sell the package which go to phiphi island,007 island,simon show and etc,very convenient By the way,the bird cage guesthouse hotel make our travel very happy and it will be my first choice if i travel to phuket again.

this is my second stay in bird cage hotel and i must say i would stay in the same hotel every time i will visit phuket. amazingly good staff, very helpful, nice clean rooms and 10 minutes’ walk to everything around in patong. hotel has a kiosk for tour packages with competitive rates(after a bit of bargain). hotel management gave me a free room upgrade so we can have a comfortable stay with our kid. free wifi is also included in the package. hotel offer free coffee/team (self-service) in the lobby

i've been to phuket twice and i always stay at The Bird Cage. i love this place because it's affordable and yet very decent, the room is regularly cleaned and the staffs are also very helpful and kind. the best thing about this place is that it's very strategic, only 5 minutes walk to the Bang La Road (where all the hip things are going on in Patong), 10 minutes walk to Jung Ceylon Mall and the beach plus it's very near to the 7/11, just in case you need anything in the mid of the night :) if i ever come back to phuket again, i think i will stay at The Bird Cage again. it's very recommended for tight budgeted traveller who wants to get a decent affordable place to stay ;)

Very Nice Guest House”
Generally speaking, I spent a pleasant time at The Bird Cage Patong Guest House. The stuffs there are really very friendly. I really like it. It maybe a little bit far to the patong beach, but it is still in walking distance. There is no sea-view of my room, but the mountain view also made me feeling very pleasant when opening the curtain in the morning.

This hotel was pretty great for the price! As two students we couldn't afford much but this was alot better than other hotels we stayed in around thailand (which we paid more for than the bird cage). The staff are very friendly, it is very clean, and the TV works!!!!! (alot of the hotels the tvs don't actually get reception!!) The only downer on this hotel room is that we lost power once - for about 5 minutes. Not long at all considering how busy the whole city was!!!!! Also there is a nice little food place to the left of this hotel that is great for dinners etc.

Its always a worry when you book a cheap room just on the pictures and a couple of reviews. So when I got to the Bird Cage I was a little concerned. The reception area was small but tidy and the staff pretty friendly. I was on the second floor and was happy with that considering there in no elevator so I carried my bags upstairs. The room was a real surprise, average but good size, pretty clean as was the bathroom. The location was so amazing, you can walk down an alley to the beach in a few minutes or go the other way up to Second Rd to all the restaurants and bars. Bangla Road is maybe 10 min walk max as is the shopping centre. The hotel is down a very small Soi so there was very little road noise at all and the only issue was drunken Russians walking home at all hours singing. If your on a budget but still want an above average room I would recommend The Bird Cage no problems at all.

the bird cage hotel is a very nice hotel. It is well located on the patong one way system and us only 5 minutes walk to the beach. It is very clean with very good air conditioning. The staff are very nice and will always try their best to accomodate your needs. It is also very well situated for the great night of bangla road which is only a 5 minute walk.

The Bird Cage was Great”
Overall- a 10 out of 10. My wife and I agreed we would definitely stay there again. The Guesthouse is new and in a perfect location. The path down to Patong beach is quiet and only 5 minutes walk. If you turn the other way out of the hotel, it's only 2 minutes walk to the main street (shopping, food, etc.) But it's far enough back from the main street that you don't hear anything at night. It's true that the place doesn't have an elevator, but the staff is so super accommodating that I'm sure you could choose which floor you wanted to stay on. It's only 4 floors. My wife and I asked for the 4th floor. We wanted to be at the top and going up the stairs was no big deal. The staff helped us with our luggage so there wasn't ever any heavy lifting. It was a comfortable nice place, definitely the nicest on the street. They have room safes, refrigerators in the rooms, smoking or non smoking, TV with 70 channels, etc. It was great.

This is a guesthouse that aspires to the service standard of a hotel. The reception area was open and welcoming, the staff always had a sincere smile and very attentive, and generous with their time. It is at a great location near to the major meeting points like Soi Bangla, and Jung Ceylon shopping complex, but yet on a quiet and peaceful street. Some food shops frequented by westerners could be found further in the road which also is the small road that leads to the beach road in 3-5min. Many would consider this the "short-cut" to the beach compared to going through the Bangla stretch. There are a couple of 7-elevens and family mart stores nearby too. The room I stayed in was quite small in that there was not much milling space... but that was because they had put in all the furnitures you would need in a bedroom, like a side table on each side of the bed which is great when you want to recharge your phone or notebook, the tv console next to the door had good amount of table space for you to put your loose items which you need on the go, like your sunglasses, hat, sunblock, book, whatnots, and the tv was at a good distance from where you would view it from the bed, just in front of the TV! There was a pretty big wardrobe for that room size which had many hangers and storage space. There were enough rack and shelf in the toilet too. The room may be small but it is well designed and equipped to make it a very pleasant stay for me. The choice of colors for the interiors with the predominantly dark furnitures against white wall, beddings, and yellow-beige shower area is also tasteful and pleasing. There are 3 storeys and no lift, so be mindful that you may be required to climb the staircase. The guesthouse could make minibus or taxi bookings for trip to the airport at very reasonable fair price. Certainly a great value for the price I paid.

Great stay & friendly staff”
We had a great stay at this hotel! Clean bedroom & bathroom. Friendly staff that provide lots of information on places to visit around Phuket. There is a tour booth outside of the hotel and we booked our trip to Phi Phi Island & Elephant camp. We even got a taxi service for daily tour which is cheaper than those outside of the hotel. The hotel is providing airport transfer which is hassle free for us. Jungceylon mall is only a few minutes' walk away from the hotel. There are 7-11, restaurants & souvenir shops nearby the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay in Bird Cage & would love to return again.

Great Little Place to Stay”
This place is a fantastic place to stay. It is like new and in the centre of town but down an alley way so away from the noise. The rooms are brand new with aircon, tv, safe, and serviced daily. The reception has a fridge with beer and breezers, water etc. Internet in reception at a small charge. The staff are friendly and happy to help you book tours etc. Airport minibus drops off on the doorstep for 150 bahts. This place is suitable for everyone - but if you are elderly maybe book a room on Level 1 as there are stairs. Everyone must try the Bird Cage!
