Beautiful and peaceful”

We had an amazing few days at The Countryside. It’s located about 10 minutes outside of Pai amongst rice fields. The views of th valley and surrounding mountain ranges are incredible. The staff were very friendly, helpful, available, and gave us a run-down of some of the fun activities (including tips on the less touristy places!) to do around Pai. Within minutes of arriving, we were informed that our room had been upgraded free of charge. Though full of guests, place was very quiet at all times. Coffee, tea and fresh fruit were served every morning and we got two free water bottles a day. We spent a lot of time in the pool and lounging at various points in the resort, all of which have magnificent views of the mountains. We had a wonderful time and will certainly stay again if we find ourselves in the area anytime soon.

Great resort and excellent staff”

the countryside was great all around. the bungalows are nothing fancy but had everything you needed. they have a great rooftop patio and the rooms were spacious. the pool area is very nice and had ample lounge chairs by the pool and hammocks around the pool area. very nice grounds. there was a gardener out everyday and the staff was very helpful and polite. very laid back place. the managercwas awesome. he was friendly and very informative. you could cook your own food in their kitchen, all you have to do is ask. we got a bungalow with air conditioning but because pai is so far i. the mountains it's very, very cold in the evenings and throughout the night. the bungalows have quilts so you stayed warm at night. the breakfast wasn't the greatest but that was the only con. the resort is a five minute walk from the village and not difficult to get to and from. would definately recommend this resort and would stay again.

Lovely hotel,very romantic place&stuffs very nice”

Very quiet place to stay. The bungalow make me feel very private , and also my own rooftop that I can enjoy star and sun all day all night. I can stay in the hotel all day! Stuffs there very nice. They always smile and want to help me when I have trob. The hotel doesn't far from walking street, the hotel also have a van to send us everywhere at Pai. I definitely go back to The Countryside Resort!

Excellent experiente in a peaceful environment”

The staff was really amazing, always ready to serve all your needs. They have a Taxi service to pick you up and leave you at town. In my last day they were kind enough to let me keep the room longer so I could shower and get ready to my trip back to Chiang Mai and they took me to the bus station. the pool was nice, so the balcony. The room was big enough and the AC worked fine! The only downside were the ants, but I guess that is part of the experience of being in the country. Definitely I would stay at The Countryside Resort Pai again!

Paradise in Pai”

Our stay at the countryside resort was too short, we wished we had longer. Since the resort is off the beaten track the staff are brilliant and will drop you and pick you up from Pai town (15min walk) and even picked us and dropped us at the bus station! So so kind! And they do a mean eggs on toast - yummy! The pool was lovely to cool off in with an amazing mountain view including the white Buddha on the hill! The bungalows are fun sized but you have all you need even with a rooftop terrace to chill out and dry your swim stuff! We loved it and would recommend it!

Beautiful special place in Pai”

Countryside is just a little outside of the city center and perfectly quiet and zen compared to the small and busy city center. Still walkable at night (after a few drinks) no more than 10 to 14 minutes depending on where you are. (My husband and I timed it for accuracy!!) The staff is very friendly and helpful and I found this to be my favorite stay so far for our budget.

Beautiful setting”

We have stayed at this hotel before and will stay again because the setting is perfect,. A 10 minute walk to the centre of Pai but away from the noise of actual Pai. Every morning we awoke to the beautiful sight of rice fields, mountains and fresh air and in the evening to could take a drink to the roof of the room and watch the sun set.Another asset would be the staff and the manager who not only good English but was also very helpful. My only little criticism would be the rooms and the bathrooms could be renovated but this is only a small criticism and should not take anything from the setting or the staff.

Great staff and location! ”

Upon arrival, we almost immediately decided to stay another night. We hadn't even seen inside the cabin yet but it is so gorgeous! There were a few ants in the bathroom (nearly impossible to avoid in Thailand altogether) and they initiated an offer to let us switch readily and graciously. The private cabins are great for privacy as well. It's about a 10 minute walk into town, not bad at all, but they will shuttle you in on short notice. It's also very easy to get a motorbike and cruise up the road to. We had a standard fan room which did get a bit hot at night, but it's summer. By late late night it was cool enough and mornings were perfect there! In the 3 days we were there, we probably used the pool 5 times. Countryside is great and accommodating, definitely recommend!

Perfect location but a little dated ”

Having stayed in central Pai we fancied a few days in the countryside and this place is perfect for that. It’s a 5 minute drive from the main streets but feels like you’re miles away from it all, beautiful views over the mountains. Room was a little dated and could do with a deep clean but there weren’t any bugs or anything in ours. Bathroom was also dated and hot water was inconsistent. Staff were excellent, the owner leaves her phone number with you in case she is off site. Pool was fine, we didn’t have great weather so we just chilled in the various sheltered hammocks which are dotted around the place. If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay for a few days with awesome views this is the place!

Great stay”

We really enjoyed our time here, and ended up staying for longer than expected because we felt so at home. We had a hut with no aircon, and while it was a bit hot at some points of the day, we just hopped in the pool to cool off, and it was more than cool enough at night. Very nice staff, and the shuttle service really saved our lives on the days we didn't rent a scooter. There WERE ants in the bathroom as some people have mentioned, but the really tiny and innocent kind, nothing to be afraid of. We saw almost no insects in our room the entire time we were there, other than your occasional salamander. The property is charming and adorable, and the scenery is beautiful. Just outside of the city center, so you avoid all of the fuss, yet are close enough to walk if you need to. Thanks for everything! Amanda and Jan

Great Resort, Basic but Beautiful ”

We stayed at this hotel for a night in August, we really enjoyed our stay. It is close to the town but feels like you're way out in the countryside! It is pet friendly which was a draw for us as we had our dog with us, the staff were very friendly and wi-fi is available throughout the resort. The room was basic but comfortable. There is a swimming pool which we made good use of and we will definitely be returning to stay here again in the future.

This hotel has nice room and good service but difficult to found.The location is far from center of town,can't walk.You need to have your own car ortherwise rent a motorcycle.However this hotel is resort style so the surrounding is nice and surrounded by rice field.In the morning,it is good weather and nice view.

Feels like the country, but close to town.”

Loved staying here, waking up to the rice paddies, swimming in the pool, lying in a hammock, scootering into town, petting the cats, and enjoying my own little air conditioned bungalow. The bungalows are comfortable and clean, and the rooftop lounge area on top of each one really sets this place apart. The staff were also very friendly and helpful with whatever I needed. The location was perfect (though a little hard to find at first). Quiet and peaceful- rural feeling, while still being close enough to town to walk in and out for the night walking street and bars. Really made my stay in Pai wonderful.

Everything as expected”

The huts are just like what you see in the photos. Perfect scenery, very peaceful place. It may not look like it, but there's enough space in the hut for at least two people. The roof is great to see the sunrise or sundown, but you're exposed to be eaten by mosquitoes, so give it a thought. The only problem was that it was difficult to open the door. We felt like idiots, but it sometimes worked, it's a small problem, but if you're in a hurry (yes, you can be in a hurry in Pai, on holidays) it's frustrating. Thank you.

Highly recommended”

The grounds and the views are wonderful. The room was clean and well appointed. The staff was very helpful. Be aware that walking to the center of Pai is not realistic for most. You will need to rent a motorbike or use the free taxi service provided by the resort. We would happily stay here again.

This is our second time staying at Countryside Resort. We love being amid the rice paddies in such a serene setting.

Beautiful place to stay!”

I had such a wonderful time staying here. The place is soooo peaceful and relaxing. The staff is great, very attentive and willing to help at all times. The location is perfect... Just a 10 minute walk from town, but they can also give you a ride whenever you want. Here you are surrounded by nature and beauty. When in Pai again I will definitely stay here again. Totally recommended.

Great Place”

This hut was an amazing place to stay. It was a great location that was quiet and we were still able to walk into the city in 10 minutes or free bus in from the staff. The view was beautiful and a perfect place to stay in Pai.

Amazing!! ”

I LOVED staying here! Amazing location and views. It’s so quiet and peaceful. Amazing view of the mountains. Walking distance to the town. There are hammocks which were relaxing to hang out in and enjoy the views. The staff is super helpful and they have recommendations for things to do in Pai
