“Exceptional”
Nalod Hotel Danang is a nice beachfront property with a modern design and a welcoming atmosphere. The location is excellent! just across from My Khe Beach, making it convenient for both relaxation and sightseeing. The room was huge! Very spacious and comfortable, which really stood out compared to other hotels I stayed at in Danang. The bed was great, and for the price, the room was very affordable, offering excellent value for money. However, the room did not have a balcony, and the windows couldn’t be opened, which made it feel a little closed off despite the generous size. On arrival, I was served a welcome drink. A very nice tea, which was a thoughtful touch and made the check-in feel warm and pleasant. On my last night, the hotel surprised me with some cakes and a message saying “See you again”, which was a lovely gesture and left a positive impression. That said, I did have an unusual experience with noise. Even though my room was at the end of the corridor, I could hear sounds from the next room and random noises throughout the night. At one point, I even heard things dropping while I was awake in the middle of the night, which felt unsettling. For such a big and otherwise comfortable room, the soundproofing (or perhaps maintenance) definitely needs improvement, as it affected the overall stay. Breakfast had a decent spread, but Muslim-friendly and vegan options were very limited. It would be wonderful if Nalod could offer more inclusive meals, especially with a local touch. This would make the experience richer and more appealing for Muslim travellers, as halal food options in Danang are still quite scarce. As for facilities, the gym was quite small so I didn’t use it, and I noticed that the sauna came with an extra fee, which I feel should ideally be complimentary for hotel guests. The swimming pool was decent, though not particularly attractive, and I also didn’t end up using it. Overall, the facilities felt a bit underwhelming compared to the room size. Service overall was polite, and the thoughtful farewell cakes showed the staff do care about guest experience. The beachfront location is another big plus if you want easy access to My Khe Beach. Overall, Nalod Hotel Danang offers huge, affordable rooms and thoughtful service touches, but the lack of balcony, sealed windows, unusual night noises, and average facilities kept it from being perfect. With stronger soundproofing, improved facilities, and more dietary inclusivity, it could become a much stronger beachfront option in Danang.
