The Narathiwas Residence is essentially a serviced apartment with a large buffet breakfast provided. The apartment has a large lounge area, a balcony, large bed, kitchen etc. it has the facilities of a 5 star hotel, with the added bonus of the size of an apartment. The front desk staff are attentive, professional, and speak English. The location is an advantage as it is very close to the busiess district of Sathorn/Silom, and the many nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. The accommodation compared to the cost of a 5 star hotel represents very good value for money.

Great room, good value”

We booked The Narathiwas Residence because it is an apartment style hotel. Because we traveled with a baby, we needed extra space and a kitchen. We booked the room the night before our arrival, so when we asked for a baby cot, there was not one available. They then upgraded us to a larger room and provided us with an extra sleeping provisions such as an extra duvet and pillows. The room was extremely spacious and had good views, but the bathroom was a bit small. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was included in the rate. It had a wide variety of food for a variety of travelers' tastes. We probably enjoyed the breakfast the most!! The hotel provided a shuttle to the nearest skytrain station, but we opted for a taxi instead (which they called to the front door). There were several dining options outside the hotel and a 7-11 close by. I would definitely stay here again.

comfortable quiet stay”

Enjoyed the stay. Though the smallest category room @ 45m2 was much more than the typical superior rooms of the average hotel in the Sukhumvit Area. The room was longish, thoughfully subdivided into 2 living spaces with a retractable wall separating the bed and the living area (cum kitchenette). The living area had a 2 seater sofa and a large flat panel TV whilst the bed area had its own decent sized flat panel TV too. It means if your partner chooses to watch one program, and you choose to watch another, you could draw the partition separating the 2 areas and neither would disturb eachother! brilliant! The breakfast was mediocre for me.. they're trying. To be fair, Service is good (waiter was very attentive and my coffee cup never ran empty for more than a couple of minutes) but the buffet offerings weren't quite spot on. While you could get eggs cooked-to-order (which you had to order from the waiter) one couldn't help but notice that an eggs station wouldn't go amiss, same station could provide for hash browns, sausages etc. Sausages were of the low grade frankfurter type. All in all, a shortfall in the selection AND execution department. For a satisfying breakfast, those found in similar hotels are still miles ahead. The swimming pool is located an open concept floor and the main drawback of not being naturally sunned is that the water is at least 5 degrees below what I would deem minimally acceptable for a comfortable dip or swim. For the money I paid before taxes incl bfast, it was a deal hard to beat. Purely on the basis of value-price proposition, I would return simply because the rooms are comfy and if I didnt need to be in a better part of town if I intended to be say at sukhumvit often (eg shopping and hanging out). Sathorn area is known to have bad traffic during weekdays. Note to self... next time save the money for "inclusive of breakfast" price.

Relaxing Stay”

This place is more of a serviced apartment. The price is very affordable, and the size of the suite is very big. I was in a 6 people group and we took 2 suite with 2 bedroom each. Each room is equipped with queen sized bed and private bathroom. The sofa at the living room is big enough to host 2 more people if needed. The suite is equipped with well functioning kitchen and washing machine. Good for a long stay. Or even if you don't want to cook, there are quite some places to eat nearby. Convenience store is also within the apartment area. Facilities are working well, water pressure and water heater which would usually my concern when travelling to Thailand are working well. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very nice! However this apartment is quite far from the downtown and shopping area where the malls and night markets are. Not a problem for us but maybe for some others who purposely come to Bangkok to shop, this could be a downside.

Ideal for long stay families with kids who can just walk to international schools. Also ideal for shoppers as it offers shuttle vans to and from Rama 3 Central Plaza. Cons: place is hidden away from main road, making it hard to find. Taxis can be confused with Narathiwas apartments or condos.

Home away from home”

This has all the appearances of a 5 star hotel. We stayed in a deluxe studio which had a separate living room with sofa, large flat-screen TV, table and chairs, and fridge, microwave etc. The bathroom is spacious with lots of hot water. The bed was a double, but quite comfortable. There was a second flat-screen TV in the bedroom. The bedroom can be isolated from the living area by a sliding door. On the ground floor is a lovely, large restaurant. Breakfast can be part of the rate or you can pay 260B separately for the very large buffet breakfast. There is a fitness centre and access to swimming pools. Having spent a lot of time in hotels over the years it was very pleasant to be in an apartment which felt more like home, but had all the services and facilities of a hotel.

I would say this hotel is more than just value for money, this is a very good hotel to stay. We stayed in a 2 room suite and it’s just as per the pic in the Agoda. We felt home and the cleanliness was super. Staff also very friendly and polite. Check-In and Checkout was also smooth and fast. There is a huge and a beautiful pool. My daughter n her cousins who were on holiday at BKK also came and had a wonderful time at the beautiful pool. Their breakfast is also very good and got Variety. Con: only thing I would say it’s a bit away from Sukhumvit and the most hustle n bustling area pratunam. Apart from this I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would love to stay at this hotel if I go to BKK again.

My parents stayed there during their visit. Room is huge. This hotel is catered to Chinese tour groups nowadays. I am Chinese and I don't blame a lot of groups arrive late and people check-in late. But the doors are not soundproof at all!!!! There was even a huge gap between the door and the frame since they took(cut) the door closer out and just left it like that without any treatment. So at night, it was very noisy and my parents couldn't sleep. If you don't need a room that big, don't need the kitchen and space for luggages, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Outstanding value for money if you are located in the Sathorn, Silom area. The rooms are large, modern and clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The only criticism I have is that the Wifi is poor, only a single device at a time can connect, and you have to log back in if the device is put to sleep.

Bangkok home away from home!”

So good if you are staying for a few days and need some rest with young kids. It’s nice seeing sights, but if you don’t want the chaos this is really like a home away from home. There’s 2 swimming pools and a working huge hot tib. A small child’s playground under cover so they can play in rainy time and lounge with massage chairs! (Perfect for tired parents.). We have 3 kids so always need to book over 1 room but here we can get a 2 bedroom apartment with a washer dryer and a kitchen. (Without much to cook with...nothing actually, so that is weird.). There’s a delicious breakfast and the servers are really nice. A Starbucks and pet cafe nearby and a shuttle to bts, tesco and central shopping mall. There is a walk to the road but it’s not bad and front desk called a cab for us anytime. We love it and will be back with our 3 noisy kids.

Serviced apartment with an empty pool...”

The rooms themselves are quite comfortable. I went with a standard room which was more than enough for one person. The room has a living room with dining table, sofa, big screen t.v., and full-sized refrigerator (by most standards other than U.S). The bedroom contained another mounted flat screen and the bathroom was large and comfortable. As far as the view, I simply kept my curtains closed most of the time as the view was of the apartment building next door, the empty pool, and the tennis courts. Most disappointing was the outdoor pool, which was empty and closed for our stay. If it were open, it looked like it would be amazing, but when you come to Thailand on a vacation from a cold climate like Beijing (where I live) relaxing by the pool in the sun is what your looking for. There is another pool located on the 4th floor called the "indoor pool". This pool never sees the sun so the water temperature is very cold, but there is a hot tub to help balance the temps. Located on that same floor are corner patios that do see the sun, so the flexible people we are, we chose to lounge on the patio and intermittently take a dip in the chilly "indoor pool". The area around the hotel is residential, with multiple apartment buildings and a couple other serviced apartment buildings, so very quiet. Sukhumvit is about an 80 baht taxi away, so not too far. Overall, it was an ok stay, we just wished the pool had been open and that we would have been told it was not. What the hotel does not advertise is its best feature by far, and should be a selling point, the rooftop garden! Take the elevator to the top floor and climb the stairs to the best view i've ever had in all my stays in Bangkok, simply amazing. Not to mention patios with picnic tables even a BBQ!

Nice sized, comfortable rooms ”

Not bad overall, western food from restaurant was average, the fish and chips was truly awful had to send it back and was offered no replacement. The outdoors hot tub was fun, but maintenance on the main pool meant there was no real swimming area for kids. Breakfast was ok, good coffee and fresh fruit. Cleaning staff and security were friendly and efficient. couldn't use internet half the time as it was too slow, not good enough in 2013/14 Good gym/ fitness area, Fix the pool. Fix the wifi and get a decent chef and this place would be great! Wouldn't be happy if payed full price but was a good deal at 50% discount just about.

Great hotel with all services available, a bit tucked away but well worth seeking out. Good value rate, very clean and new fixtures and decorations. Fast internet and multiple English TV and movie channels including DVD player to play all your pirated DVDs. A definite would stay again hotel

The family suite room so big and clean and beds are comfortable. The swimming-pool nice have hot spa as well. The restaurant is good and the food tasty and the people very nice and polite . The recption people are nice time to check-out at12.00pm but my husband was so sick in the hospital I told them and they are let me check out late for 3 hours Pinit Smits from Thailand and Australia
