Top location at a top price”
The Park is a family-run guesthouse that will just make you feel at home. It is located in the middle of Ayutthaya island and you can start exploring the park by foot. The host is one of the nicest Thai we have met during our travels in Thailand and he will give you all the information you need for your stay in Ayutthaya. The garden of the guesthouse is just beautiful and while it was just too hot to walk around midday, we relaxed in that garden and enjoyed the good food made by the host's sister. If in Ayutthaya we would for sure choose The Park again.

Good location, slightly frustrated guests”
Room was perfectly adequate, location was great (by a couple of the ruins and close to restaurants etc). Owner/Manager was perfectly fine, but there was one comment by him which frustrated me a little. After asking what would be the best AND/OR the most inexpensive option to get from the guesthouse to the train station I received a bit of a snarky, presummtious remark to the effect of: "Well, walking is the cheapest option". He smirked and I paused - waiting for him to continue. "I told you already last night..." (I didn't remember this) "It's x baht to get to the train station. Why do you worry about this anyway? It's only x baht. You're traveling. You can afford it." I'm 100% aware of our privilege and the need to support the local community (which we tried to do with tips when warranted and not over-bartering) but I think it's a little disrespectful of the manager to assume we can afford whatever and that a backpacker shouldn't be allowed to TRY and save money when possible. After all, that's why we took the 20 baht train from Bangkok to Ayutthaya instead of a taxi, etc. And why we decided to travel in SE Asia instead of Europe, for instance. I know it's NOT a really big deal, but hopefully he will see this review and understand why our perspective. I must add, shortly after this discussion, which I opted to walk away from because I already sensed the discussion would go absolutely no where, he came up to our room and asked us if we wanted to share a taxi with other fellow travelers. This was exactly the type of service we had received prior to the event above, so I can only assume he saw the situation differently at the time and/or he was having a bad day.

Tranquil guesthouse”
A tranquil guesthouse with a large open living room which borders the spacious and green garden with seats next to tranquil water features. This place is an respite, especially if you're coming from a bustling city. The owner is very friendly and a great host: he happily points out on the map which are the must see wats, arranges boat tours and calls tuk tuks. He set up the guesthouse by himself and puts his heart into it which is a nice change from the often impersonal hotels and hostels. The rooms are simple but have everything you need and are spacious and clean. The owner kindly let me use one of the bathrooms after checkout so I could do some last day sightseeing and still start my onward travels fresh. The guesthouse is opposite the park in about the middle of the 'island' of Ayutthaya and a short walk from several of the main temples, restaurants and a night market. The guesthouse is also at walking distance from the more modern and busy (and, it must be said, less attractive) city centre at the east of the island (10 min walk). From the station it's about a 10-15 min ride by tuk tuk (for around 80-100 THB) to the guesthouse. Probably superfluous to say but I'd recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wants to come 'home' from sightseeing to some tranquility!

Very nice guesthouse with great staff performance ”
We arrived there quite exhausted after a 6-hour bus ride. We got some water as refreshment even before checking in, and the (I believe he was) owner gave us some very helpful advice on what to do around. The Park is located within easy reach to the historical park of Ayutthaya where the main attractions are located (about 5 minutes walk). They also arranged an evening boat tour around the old city of Ayutthaya, which was only 220 THB / person. I would definitely use this accommodation again!

Clean, great food, lovely staff”
The man running this place (can't for the life of me remember his name!) is awesome. He knows heaps about Ayutthaya and is a really friendly guy. Once you arrive he sits you down and explains the things to do which is really handy. Our room was really clean and tidy, it was also huuuuuge which was awesome. The bathroom smelt a bit funky but I think this was because it had no windows and it wasn't really a big deal. The food they serve there was also really delicious, the cashew nut chicken is delicious. The location is a little bit further away from the main area but it is also much closer to the temples which is handy as we hired bikes and biked around the temples. It's also cheap and easy to get to the main area.

perfectly located, great manager, no drawbacks”
our 2-night stay in ayutthaya was a very pleasant experience, and the park hotel was a great part in it. perfectly located right next to the park and several key places of the city, with very helpful and positive owner/manager, clean room and fast internet - there was nothing more to be desired for! free bicycles, help and advise with trips and sightseeing, and - perfect breakfasts! we'll definetly come back one day!

Brilliant value for money”
The hotel is situated in the prime location for 4 of the best old temples in Ayutthaya, all within walking distance. The owner and the staff were super polite, friendly and everything was laid on for us if we asked, nothing was too much trouble. I cannot give a perfect score because nothing is perfect, but for the money you pay, this hotel is brilliant. If I ever go back to Ayutthaya, I shall definitely be checking into this hotel again.

Great Hospitality”
I had a nice stay at The Park Guesthouse. The owner was the best aspect of my stay. He was very attentive and helped me maximize my sightseeing time. He had a map ready to go and circled the temples I should see that evening via tuk tuk and the ones I should see the following morning by bike. He also mentioned that I should make it to the night market that evening which was about a 10/15 minute walk away or a couple min by bike. I had a quick bite at the cafe and he arranged the tuk tuk for me. The cafe/garden area was very pleasing, but the room wasn't as nice. I was initially given a big room in the back but it had a strong chemical odor. I asked to switch rooms, and there was one available upstairs. The accommodations were't as nice, but the air was much better. The walls were thin and I could hear the French visitors talking next door. These inconveniences didn't really bother me. I wasn't in Ayutthaya to hang out in my room. Overall I was happy with my stay and thankful that the owner helped me see so many temples in a short but leisurely amount of time.

Hidden gem”
Our stay at the Park Guesthouse was terrific. A special thank you to Mr Win and his friendly staff for making our 3 day Ayutthaya trip a very pleasant experience. This is truly a hidden gem amongst small family run operations, not the flash est of places but certainly the friendliest. We shall definitely return here next time in Ayutthaya.

Perfect place to stay”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Guesthouse and will definitely stay there any time we are in Ayutthaya. The location is perfect for exploring the ruins, they are literally across the street. We enjoyed exploring the ruins in the morning then ducking in to the hotel for a break in the heat. The location is the perfect midway point to see all the main Wats on the island. The owner is incredibly nice and caring. He is a perfect host and really did his best to make sure we were making the most out of our time. The breakfast was fantastic and the WiFi works well. A full 5 stars!

Nice and quiet”
We stayed in Ayutthaya for two nights. The owner of the hotel was really friendly and helpful. He organized a boat tour and tuktuk rides for us. The prices were really ok. The hotel itself is a few hundred meters away from the centre but in the park close to most of the temples. A good location to start a walk and see the impressive The rooms were very clean, had AC and we did not miss anything... ...Except the breakfast. There is only continental breakfast, which we don't like very much. It consists of coffee/tea, juice 2/3 slices of white bread, jam and fried/scrambled eggs and that's it. As there are enough opportunities to buy some food everywhere it was ok. Overall it was a nice stay there and we would recommend it if you don't expect thai breakfast or a big buffet.

Terrific little hotel with a charismatic owner”
We stayed 2 nights at The Park and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is opposite one of the main temples therefore very pleasant to walk to-and-from. The room was basic, clean, and very good. We also enjoyed the breakfast, simple but tasty. For us, the best feature of the guesthouse is the owner, who was gregarious, funny, and helpful. He made us feel very welcome and we would definitely stay there again if we were to be back in Ayutthaya.

Two nights in ayutthaya”
This is the second time I have stayed at this guest house. The rooms are spacious, and decorative. I will say the it is not perfect but was perfect for us. This is not a five star hotel but it is a very nice guest house. The staff are helpful though have limited English and the house is close to everything in Ayutthaya.

Quaint and lovely”
First impressions aren't great and this is a guesthouse as opposed to a hotel on fairly ordinary grounds but with an awesome location inside at Ayutthaya historical park. That said, room was clean and liveable, breakfast decent but perhaps best of all was the owner who spoke great English and couldn't help enough. It's not my first time to Ayutthaya so I know what else is available and much of it isn't good - as long as you take this as it is and are not overly picky, you'll love it.

Excellent location!”
The Park is in a great location, pretty much in the middle of all the historical ruins of Ayutthaya, but it's also within an easy walk to restaurants and the night market. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed.

Loved, loved, loved our stay!”
From the moment we arrived, Win, our host was at the ready. He helped us immediately get train tickets, and saved us a trip to the train station by phoning, arranging for tickets and a driver to pick up the tickets, also saving us round trip fares. Win also helped us with directions to the night market and a good restaurant. We ended up eating right at the Park Guesthouse because it was so easy, and they were so accommodating. Win made our stay seem like home. He is a delight and wants nothing more than to make sure you get whatever you desire. We took the sunset boat tour around Auythaya--wonderful value for our money, and of course Win took care of all the round trip arrangements from door to door. We highly recommend staying at the Park. It is in a super location, walking distance to two ancient temple complexes and a night market, but just the right distance from the buzz of traffic associated with the sights.

Great backpacker option”
Park Guest House was a terrific option for our group! Good location for exploring Ayutthaya ruins, and not far from several good food options. Best feature is owner Vin, who gladly helps with transport and logistics. Highly recommended.

Good Value, Great People”
The Park Guesthouse is a typical Thai guesthouse - take your shoes off before coming into the main area, wood floors, lots of open common space. The owner is fantastic. He will sit and chat with you about the ruins, walk you through a guidebook, and give tips on your stay. There are bike rentals available but they usually go very early in the morning so you may need to walk 300m to get one (50 Baht). They can arrange a boat tour, which is pleasant and reasonably priced (200B) with pick up from the hotel. you can't beat the location in the middle of the park or the great staff!

Very pleasant stay in the heart of the Ayutthaya historical park”
Possibly the only place you can sleep in the heart of the Ayutthaya historical park. Very friendly hosts. Spacious and clean room. Thai style breakfast (I love rice soup :-)). Go there, you won't regret.

Great location”
The hotel has the perfect location to discover Ayutthaya. Kind staff can help with booking boat trip, minivan etc. The breakfast was good as well. The room was a bit worn and our bathroom had no door, but it was ok for one night
