Amazing stay - 10/10 would recommend”
Staying at the Slate was one of the best options we made and we wished we stayed here for more nights! On top of the amazing design, we had excellent service from the resort staff, rooms were huge, comfortable, clean and the entire resort was huge with bars and restaurants as well. Would highly recommend going to Black Ginger for dinner (at the resort). The beach (nai yang) was also 2 minutes walking distance with a good mix of local stalls.

Highly recommended & would return again!”
Located alighted away from the town(around 40mins by car), which is too bad since we drove. Went for the private pool room and it was really amazing. Comes with huge bedroom, bathroom and a outdoor seating area with pool. Daily breakfast buffet also changes everyday and won’t get bored of it. Not forgetting their restaurant black ginger, it’s a MUST try during your stay. You have a access via a “little barge” and love it’s food.. especially it’s sweet & sour prawn and curry crab. Would definitely return if have a chance to.

We are really happy about our stay. The food quality was really good, especially for the breakfast. The staff was amazing, and we were really well treated everywhere in the resort. The restaurant Black ginger (for dinner) was just breathtakingly beautiful, the food was great and the degustation menu good value for money - we went twice, truly an amazing experience. There are three swimming pool, including two for adults (above 14) with different atmosphere so everyone can find its fit. There is a back exit directly to the beach which is not too crowded (this is a calm area, although there are a local restaurants and bars right outside the hotel - so plenty of options to eat in and outside the hotel).

The buggy was always on time to take us to the beach , coupled with the immaculate services provided by each and every staff starting from the buggy personnel to the servers . I would like to commend Ball, and I felt welcomed to have complementary tea at the pool (as there was electrical maintenance at the hotel for easily 5 hrs). My partner was in the room and he allowed for me to take away the afternoon tea and he even apologised for the wait which I felt it was alright & in fact I myself had inconvenienced the staff . I would like to come back soon.

- I really love how all the staff are very very attentive. The were all so polite but can also make me feel at ease all the time. - My room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfy. I like that the hotel let me choose my own pillow type which really helped me sleep very well. Shower gel, shampoo and body lotion smells really nice. - the Black Ginger restaurant was splendid! The authentic Southern Thai dishes with the very impressive service. The price was quite high, though. The cocktails at Tongkah were also excellent. - I would like to especially thank one of the front desk staff with short hair, I forgot to ask for her name, but I think she called herself Nan. Thank you very much Khun Nan for helping me solving the problem with application from Thai Government. I really appreciate it. And also thank you the reservation, Khun Amy, for promtly arranging my airport transfer.

Fantastic hotel ”
We enjoyed our stay at the Slate, we were a family of 5 we booked 3 beautiful pearl suit Pool view but we didn’t get our pool view suites, I don’t know why although my booking was very clear with pool view!!! The breakfast was excellent with very friendly staffs, in general all staffs were so friendly and helpful with big smiles always. Well done the Slate team. Thank you very much.

2 days was not enough”
You really feel like you are in a private resort at The Slate. Everything felt beautifully designed and 5 star. I enjoyed their bath products and made sure to stop by the gift store. I wish I could have bought back some of the decoration but I didn't space in my luggage. The breakfast buffet was great! For being beside the airport, it had a great beach and still felt relaxing. The only thing was on the last day, I was in a rush to grab a snack and then go to the airport, even though I told the staff that I had to leave in 30 mins, they were not able to get my sandwiche ready and spent 20 mins just waiting for bread to arrive. I think there were some level of miscommunication, and just the staff not really understanding the needs of the customers. It made me feel more stress. Funny, when I bite into my sandwiche, the casing on the salami was still on. Perhaps, it is just lack of awareness. But I think some more language training and with foreign ingredients would be helpful.
