I booked this place for 6 nights for two double economy rooms in June. Prices were reasonable and within our budget. The location was near subway station is Nakatsu (M15) on the Midosuji line. The directions on the main page was easy to follow and we found the hotel easily. Having said that, the hotel environment is indeed quiet, with a convenience store, some restaurants and garages near by. The plus point is that the hotel makes up for its location by having free shuttle buses every 15 minutes in the morning (i believe its from 730 to 10am) from the hotel to JR OSAKA station and in the evening from (6pm to 11?) from JR Osaka to the hotel. Do note that the bus is essentially a small van with limited capacity so you might need to wait a while. Do also note the directions are different for the morning and evening shuttle. Upon check-up the ladies in my group were given small presents that included a bath cloth, facial mask and some bath salts. It was, unfortunately, one-time gifts which is different from Super hotel, which gave free gifts every night. The lift could only be activated with the card, so that is a plus in the security aspect. The counter staff were very helpful and I got myself a membership card as well since it only costs 1500 and last for life, and also gives me discount on subsequent bookings. One could also borrow umbrellas for a small fee on rainy days. The room is the same as the usual Tokoyo Inn standards - clean room, nice bed, good working air-con, hot flask, fridge, sufficient hangers, fully equipped toilet with free toiletries. It was a little small but there was enough space for us to spread out our luggage to pack. There was a free buffet breakfast each morning as well until about 930 am.We could also leave our luggage with the front counter when we checked out on the last day. All in all, I would stay back at this place again if other Tokoyo hotels near major attractions are full.

Affordable budget hotel with Free Shuttle bus”

I love the free shuttle bus provided by the hotel. It is really convenient for us to travel to osaka/umeda train station as the hotel itself is located quite far from the nearby train station which is Nakatsu subway. However, there is no other convenience shop within 5 minutes walk from the hotel which make the location less convenient for travelers like us. Make sure you get all the necessity from the train station's convenience shop before you go back to the hotel. Wifi signal is great even in the room. Friendly staff. And the price per night is really affordable.

Toyoko Inn Osaka Umeda Nakatsu No. 2 ”

I and my family are much appreciated in this hotel. The rooms are quite small but very good, clean, tidy and comfortable with all necessary electronic appliances. Surely, i will book and stay in this convenient hotel again for my next visit to Osaka.

Value for money hotel and quiet surrounding”

We booked 6days stay in this hotel. Basically I have not much complaint about it and basically I think it's value for money. In the morning they do provide free breakfast but do bare in mind that it's from 630am-930am only and the free shuttle bus only running from 630am-10am and 6pm-1130pm ONLY. Other time there won't be any shuttle bus but still there's a subway station around 5min walk away so you could catch a subway if you miss the bus. The hotel is located just 5min from the main Osaka Terminal and still it's away from all the city noise and it's quite safe to walk even at night. If given a chance, I would chose this hotel again if I come back to Osaka

Worth the money, location is ideal”

For the money I paid, I enjoyed my stay here. Room has all you need even though it's small, this is JP anyway. Clean room, warm staff who speak English but please keep the pace slow, breakfast included even though not that tasty I still appreciated as it's nice to include breakfast for this kind of room rate. Location is closed to subway by 5 minutes walk. Hotel is near railway track which produces some noises but if doesn't bother me. To remind the travelers, check in time is 4pm and check out at 10 am which I didn't noticed until they waked me up at 10 in the morning. I'll come back again for sure.

It's too far from train station”

we got lost a bit and had to walked like a kilometer because we went to the Toyoko Inn no.1 It's very far from train station, room extremely small!

Good value for money”

The service is good, the staff is friendly, and the room is in excellent condition. The room is tiny, but that doesn't matter since I only return at night to sleep. The hotel is also near a train station so it is very convenient. Good value for money, I would stay again if there's the chance.

A bit far from the station”

The location was a bit far from the station. It was cold freezing windy day in osaka and we need to walk from the nearest station... The staff were friendly, the room was nice and clean. Great facilities too!

some Good some BAD, Cater for Local”

The GOOD: clean room, good mannered shuttle service, friendly kitchen staff (no-english) The BAD: booked twin but got double bed & reception not willing to change and just turned away to serve another local customer before we finish checking-in, Reception with little to no englishm seem to focus on local customers not tourists. The UGLY: It's a very tiny room where you have to walk sideways in and out of room, shower is a prefabricated cubicle. VERDICT: If you are a tourist from overseas, stay elsewhere.

Nice budget hotel”

Recommended for budget travelers. Location is near the train station. Breakfast served is good. Rooms are not too spacious but convenient for two people. Overall a good place to stay in.

generally good to stay~ except it is located in lonesome road. It's little bit far from subway station and the road at night to the hotel from Subway is dark.
