    Safe and comfortable ”

I was a first time traveller in Bangkok and was interested in Koah San Road. I’d heard that the night market is really noisy and figured Villa Cha Cha Banglumphu was close but not too close. The music from the street is unbelievably loud, and lasts until 3am at the weekend, so if you are a light sleeper, I’d advise staying a bit further away! I slept well though, could just hear the beat in the background. The room was lovely (I had a superior double). Very clean and lots of space. The bed was very comfortable, although I didn’t want to get out of it! Very basic TV with a Thai music channel and English films. Bathroom was clean and shower warm. Didn’t use the pool or have breakfast- there’s a restaurant next door and loads of places to eat. Reception welcoming and staff friendly. Bare in mind you will need to leave a 2000baht deposit, dove prepared with cash. There is a tourist information desk and taxi to airport was 550 baht. I opted for the shared bus at 150 baht.

Oasis of calm amongst great street life”

Great location Calm swimming pool /garden area Friendly staff Comfortable room Great atmpsphere
    None

Placed in the middle of the Khao San Road area with its great street life the Villa Cha Cha is also well situated to visit the main tourist attractions in the historic part of Bangkok. This was the second time we had stayed in Bangkok for an overnight stop before getting our internal flight to Krabi. It was an ideal hotel to both recover from the flight and to recharge the batteries after exploring the main tourist sights. The immediate area around the hotel is a hive of activity both during the day and at night and a great place to find cheap street food. The atmosphere of the Cha Cha is calm and tranquil - a real chill out place. The staff are very helpful and friendly. To our British eyes the hotel was quirky, with interesting Thia decoration. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped and you will find a list in them of the cost of all furnishings from double bed down to teaspoon. On departure your room will be inspected so that you can be charged for any breakages. Look after those teaspoons! We will certainly use the Cha Cha on our next trip to Thailand and this time will stay longer as both the hotel and the immediate area deserve more time.

Beautiful staff and hotel great service”

The staff make the place happy and vibrant

what a wonderful stay we had at villa cha cha, the manager toi and staff here, are excellent. we travelled with our two year old boy who was made a fuss of by all the staff we hardly saw him he was so busy playing with them all. the pool also gave relief from the heat of the day and gave him somewhere to let off steam! the room was very clean and well decorated and furnished for our needs. reception staff are the best and no request was too much trouble. food was great we ate out the front in the bar a few times (try the delicious bbq'd whole snapper) as well as having breakfast almost everyday. we would 110% return here, we have been to thailand several times and this has to be our number one favourite place to stay in bangkok. it is only one street away from khao san road and is a little oasis away from all the noise! love love love villa cha cha

    Oasis in the city”

Hotel is tucked away between two streets and has a wonderful swimming pool and restaurant in a garden.

We have stayed at Villa Cha Cha during our last four visits to Bangkok. It is close enough to Khao San Road to have all the convenience of the travellers supports such as travel agents and visa agents but out of the hustle and bustle. There are great multinational restaurants close by and a great Thai massage place next door.(Thanaphoomph Thai Massage). The staff a re friendly and helpful, security is good, the beds are very comfortable and the rooms we have stayed in have also had sofas or chaises for relaxing. The bathrooms have absolutely gorgeous tiles and are very clean. It is easy and inexpensive to get from this hotel almost anywhere in Bangkok including the exhibition sites. It's not on the LRT but metered taxis are very inexpensive. All in all for convenience, price, comfort and ambience I reccommend this hotel

Great Location near Khaosan Road, Staff are Friendly, Clean Room”

Villa Cha Cha Khaosan Road is a perfect hotel to stay since it's within Khaosan but you'll never hear the noise outside the street. My room is big and clean and they do offer free bottles of water, coffee with coffee maker, softdrinks in a mini fridge, basic tiolettries, and most of all, CONFORTABLE SOFT BED AND LINEN, HOT SHOWER AND PERFECT AIRCONDITION. The hotel has 24hr. onsite restaurant and pool to take a dip in a hot summer afternoon. The only thing that bothers me is they do not inform their guest or they did not publish their hotel policy of 2,000 Bhat as deposit for the whole stay but refundable upon checkout. The 2K deposit is to cover any damages or loss that may incur during your stay, but overall, I will give them 8/10 rating.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Bangkok”

location, decoration, service, price and everything that you expect fro a hotel

we were staying at the villa cha cha between 18 and 20 january 2013, at the end of our vacation in thailand. and surely, the staying there brightened up our holidays. this hotel is absolutely legitimates expectations, especialy the price for this. very good location, next to the street from khao san road and what is more, this hotel has a direct exit to rambuttri road through the beautiful restaurant with a waterfall and fish in the small pond. this restaurant is open round-the-clock than you can eat delicious local and european food when you want it. hotel has a quite big swimming pool and sauna (open till 9 p.m.). and it looks like a little oasis in the hectic megapolis. we had a junior queen room with a view to the swimming pool. firstly we thought that it must be loudly but it was really fine to stay there. the room is quiet big, clean and everything was working. in addition, we were really surprised of beautiful decoration of the hotel. it seemed that we were at some picture gallery or at an art exibition. to sum up, i will highly recommend for staying at this hotel to all my friends! i am sure you will enjoy your staying!

Just next to Khao San, but still good for a get away. Pool and Sauna are hardly busy and there's some nice seatings to have a drink next to the pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful, speaking decent English. Rooms are very clean and spacey.

i completely enjoyed my stay at villa cha cha. it's easy to be found either one road or two road behind khao san. if you pick the first, you will have to enter through the restaurant (which by the way is open 24/7 and offers some good breakfast and other dishes but is often rather busy). my first impression was very nice, i liked the interior and the style. check in was very fast and the staff speak decent english. there's no elevator for those who care, it's perfectly fine for me. i had a room facing the pool which was very spacey, with a huge bed and a couch and a rather big tv which didn't offer a wide range of channels though. there was also a mini bar and a safe. the bathroom is seperate, the water wasn't always hot in the shower, but pressure is good and it's seperate from the shower. the room itself was very clean and cleaned every day, i most enjoyed the huge bed and its many pillows. a lot of room for personal belongings, too, even though there's no real wardrobe. i did hear the noise from the pool quite good, but it can get pretty quiet at night, which is nice to get away from khao san's almost 24/7 action. i over all enjoyed the stay a lot and will pick this hotel again next time, even though i tried some other really good ones in the area, most of which are a little less expensive though. this one topped them all so far.

Quiet stay near Khao San Road”

Quiet hotel in good location near nearlife, with a great restauraunt

Right next to the noisy nightlife the Villa Cha Cha is a calm oasis set back from the road. Downstairs you have a choice of great restauraunts however they are a little expensive. The grounds are nicely landscaped with a pool, but we were there in winter so didn't try it. The staff are quite helpful with fast check in/check out and a dedicated person to advise on your sightseeing etc without pressuring you to buy anything. The internet was fast with a good connection, and our use of the minibar was given to us complimentarily. Its also good value, the prices are quite low. The only problem might be that some rooms require you to go up or down half a flight of stairs (split level) when the lift reaches your floor, which may be a problem if you have mobility issues, but if you request ahead of time I imagine they can give you a room near the lift. Overall I would definitely reccomend

Great location Great place to Stay”

Handy to everything, 24hr food, 24hr atmosphere.....
    no cons

Well Villa Cha Cha is my prefered place to stay in Bangkok, in fact my other family members stay there as well, the staff are friendly and attentive, they realise there is competition. And the food, the lounge areas and close proximety to Rambuttri road and Khaosan road and the express ferries of the mighty chayo prayer river really tick my boxes of what i need in Bangkok, from the hippies to the sick sad and rad and lonely people, this area is ideal for me and you...

    Villa Cha Cha - Bangkok”

    Great food, rooms and staff.
    None.

The approach to the Villa Cha Cha was a little daunting as you need to go through a back street alley to get to the hotel from the entrance we used. Once you are through the doors all of this instantly disappears, we were welcomed with friendly faces and fruit juice at 1a.m! Once you are inside the Hotel you can forget about the surrounding area as it is like being in a spa hotel. The food is great as well as the atmospere and the staff. It is truely amazing what the guys at the cha cha have done with the little space they have. The price is a little 'top end' for kho San area but worth every penny. I travelled with my girlfriend and we will definitely be staying here again when we return to Bangkok.

fabulous! a paradise away from the Khao San Road!”

lovely comfortable lounge area next to the pool

let's be honest - the khao san road is horrible. my advice is never to actually stay on this street, but to stay in the vicinity - the villa cha cha is a couple of streets away, it's quiet - or my room certainly was - it's good for families, couples or any traveller wanting a bit of a break - because it has a restful lounge/restaurant/pool area. i splashed out on the junior king which was a huge room [apparently they can add a mattress if you have an extra body for 300baht]. i did see some other rooms - some have no windows and some are teeny tiny, but my room was quiet, immaculate and with a pool view. i would definitely stay here again, in fact, i am staying here again! my only criticism - the breakfast is relatively crap. the coffee is rubbish and the orange juice isn't fresh. however, you are 5cm away from lots of lovely places to have breakfast. the problem is, i found it difficult to leave the hotel, it's tempting to sit by the pool with a book and a drink! but do... especially for breakfast!

    Love Villa Cha Cha!”

Location, quiet, great staff, comfort, pool
Some rooms have no windows in the bedroom, only in the bathroom and they are very dark and somewhat claustrophobic.

Villa Cha Cha has been our favourite Khao San Road area hotel for a couple of years. It is well located for access to travel assistance such as tickets and visas and not too far from anywhere in the business areas of Bangkok. Most of the rooms are bright sunny and well kept. We usually get a junior queen and they all have sofas or lounges that are very comfortable. The only downside is the rooms that have no window in the bedroom only in the bathroom. As the bathrooms have open windows and are not air conditioned you can't leave the door open between the two rooms for light so they are very dark. I suppose these rooms would be great if you'd just flown in from somewhere and were jetlagged because you could sleep any time but if you're staying more than a day or so they get to be a bit much so do request a room with a window in the bedroom and then insist on it when you're checking in. Usually this works better if you're checking in earlier in the day.

Hidden treasure inthe heart of Kosanroad madness ”

Pool, 1 block from Kosanroad, amazing bed comfort, ease of check-in, check-out, friendly staff, clean
A little on the pricey side, but MUCH better if you book here on Agoda. They don't take AMEX so use Agoda.

My girlfriend and I have stayed here each time we've passed through Bangkok. When we find a place we like, we stick to it. It's right near everything and totally quiet and separated from everything at the same time. The "lobby"/pool/restaurant area is beautiful with plants, statues(tons) and candles. You are welcomed with a cold, sweet, orange drink. WIFI Internet is free (call the desk for the password which changes). I've sent many fellow travelers though Villa Cha Cha and EVERYONE loves it. I's really the perfect place near Kosan. Food is an average Thai menu, but you're not staying here for the food. GO OUTSIDE, you're near it all!

Best of both worlds: nightlife & chill-out”

The dining, garden and pool area are all very relaxed. Great place to escape the city heat. Hotel is central in Banglamphu, handy to everything.

This was our second stay at Villa Cha Cha and we loved both visits. We received a complimentary upgrade to a king room as we were staying a week. The staff were polite, attentive and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with a city view. Perhaps a little worn in some areas, but that did not bother us. The area around the pool is a great place to chill out when the heat becomes too much, the adjacent restaurant is pretty much open 24 hrs/day and there is a huge range of food & bev to choose from at very cheap prices. This hotel is a great spot to base yourself for exploring Banglamphu & surrounds.

    nice”

good location, good and reasonably priced food
should have smoking rooms, should give out warnings/reminders and not threats, should have screens to keep mosquitoes out, more water...

Villa Cha Cha is a nice hotel especially for non-smokers. The location is great about 5 minutes from Khao San. It's sometimes hard to believe that just a few meters from the pool you'll find a busy street. When we got there the lady who welcomed us can definitely use a smile on her face but the restaurant staff are just very friendly. It's also very considerate of them to have a waiting room which is very convenient for guests who have late flights. You can leave your luggage there and kill some time somewhere else. The food is nice and reasonably priced.

    We've returned many many times”

Pool, proximity of Kohsan Road, Bed comfort

This is place is our go-to place each and every time we go to Bangkok near Kohsan Road. It's clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are really comfortable and the price is usually just right. We always book through Agoda as Villa Cha Cha doesn't accept AMEX directly. If you are visiting Kohsan Road for the first time, this should be your place. It's got a great little pool in it's little osasis pool area.

    Top hotel in Bangkok”

Tidy, and very clean rooms, fantasic bathroom and comfy bed/pillows. Nice pool and food with friendly staff.
Slight sewage smell when chain flushed

Best hotel we stayed in till this point in Asia. Really comfy bed aided good sleep, Really clean linen and towels. We only planned 2 nights in this hotel bt ended up booking extra 2 after searching round over 10 other hotels in Bangkok nothing came close to Cha Cha. Close enough to KSR, but far enough to get good nights sleep. The staff really helpful, allowed us to stay in hotel till 8pm using aircon room and held our bags, even though check out at 12. We looked at the budget room, still nice but had carpet so we opted for the superior room as had tiled floor and slightly larger. Would recommend this hotel as best place we found in Bangkok.

    Welcome Oasis”

Excellent position as a base, calm, welcome pool, internet, helpful staff, food, local interest and activity
    air-con poor

We had no idea what to expect on landing at Bangkok for a four day stopover having read mixed reviews. The taxi knew just where to go, the staff were most helpful and welcoming and the Villa Cha Cha proved to be the ideal oasis as a base from which to enjoy Bangkok and a welcome restful retreat from the hectic fray. Best of all was the easy access to the local streets for an evening stoll full of interest. We will definitely be back for a stopover and have recommended it to several others already.

    Quiet & Peaceful”

swimming pool, directly on khao san road, friendly staff
    none

My finance and I where very happy to stay at the Villa Cha Cha mainly because of it's direct proximity to the Khao San Road. Also we had planned to visit the Kings Palace which is only a 5 minute taxi ride away. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the food in the restaurant was also first class. We will most likely book this hotel again when we pass through Bangkok.
