I was about to rate them 5/5 because of the comfortable room amenities and good housekeeping service. We also loved the buffet breakfast! It's a must-have with your reservation, and it did not disappoint us. We truly enjoyed our food at Z Bistro. We could try a different dish every day because there was so much to choose from. Iloilo indeed lives up to its title as UNESCO’s Creative City of Gastronomy. Overall, it was a commendable hotel. The staff were friendly and responsive onsite. However, there's a caveat, I was disappointed that my belonging was not returned to me. Because of my hectic schedule, I forgot to claim the item at the front desk. While it could be considered a minor item, it had personal value to me. It was partly my fault for forgetting it, but it still could have been returned easily, assuming it had been kept safely by the hotel staff. When I followed up about the incident through email (replying to a previous conversation for easy reference) and a phone call, they only promised to get back to me. I followed up again, but received the same response—that they would look into it. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard from them since. I did notice a lost and found area at the side of the lobby, but they clearly need to improve their process for handling lost items. I admit I didn’t get the name of the bellboy to whom I entrusted my belonging, which is my oversight. Still, it should not have prevented the item from being returned. Despite this, I can still recommend the hotel as a generally good place to stay when visiting Iloilo. Just be careful not to leave any items behind, as the staff may not make the effort to locate or return them, and you might not get a clear answer once you’ve checked out. It’s unfortunate that the incident overshadowed the otherwise great experience I had during my stay at the hotel, so 3/5 for Zuri.
